Yep - that's what I had too. Lasted only 2 days, but it was bad.
I'm thinking the Neti Pot REALLY helped. Honey and onions too so hard
to tell what worked, maybe just time, but I have to go with the nasal
rinse (neti pot) on this one. Hope you're better soon! My ears are still
crackly, but SO much better than those 2 days.

Lori, you are NOT alone!  I have been suffering with sinus fog for about a week now and finally had to resort to sudafed red along with the mucinex...I have been doing Neilmeds sinus rinse daily, which helps a lot--but sometimes, I need to kick it in the butt before it becomes a full-blown sinus infection.

I started BTD last fall and it completely cleared  my usual fall/winter allergy aggravations...but I think the tree pollens are getting me.  And yes, I bump up all the related protocols for allergies...sometimes, you gotta do whatcha gotta do...hope you feel better, soon!

The allergies are way over the top in count this year. Something
to do with the harsh winter I think. Whatever works to fend off
infection at this point.

nwiser, Lisa and Robyn...thanks for the get well wishes and concern, that helped me feel a little better.

Well, I started with sore ears a week or so ago and Sunday I was stuck in bed with a serious cough, tiny fever of 99 and exhaustion.  Monday I sort of got moving and got dressed and did laundry but by afternoon I was coughing so hard and exhausted I parked it on the couch.  Yesterday I did not dress but I did make dinner.  This morning I am back to the land of the living and I am dressed with makeup on and in my studio looking at my painting that needs work.  I finally slept last night for the first time in a week.

I can say that though this was bad and required massive amounts of tea, saline washes of my nose, vit D, tons of water, mucinex and my inhaler, previous years for me were worse and for weeks I would have no energy and become very down over it.  My weak point is my left lung that is slightly damaged from treatment and the tumor so when these things set it I struggle on the left.   Today mucus is getting to a less scary color.

The great thing is I was about 85% compliant during this when usually my eating would get awful when I was sick.  I don't feel I put on weight or have any food hangovers and that makes me feel more energetic.  I only missed 3 days of exercise and was able to do a light yoga routine this morning that made me feel great.  I coudl tell I was still sick because I was sweating like crazy over a little stretching but it made me feel better.

I will live!  .  Bring on the pollen...or not.

I'll try the more probiotics and more Omega 3, but the honey, the alfalfa, the omega3 and probiotics I already take, don't seem to take put much of a dent in my suffering.  In fact, just tonight it has gotten WORSE even though logic would dictate that outside, during the day, as opposed to my room with an ionizer at night, would worsen my condition.

Honestly I'm confused.  Aren't allergies, of the seasonal/pollen variety, supposed to be an indicator of an OVERACTIVE immune system?  I'm a non-secretor!  I should have a poor immune system...what is going on?!

well thanks, but...I don't have that book or know what's even in it and I already follow my diet.

Thankfully the advice on here as been helpful in that the extra nose-douching at night with the neti pot (was only previously doing it in the morning), taking an extra Omega 3 (total of 4000 mg/day now), and 2 Probiotic Acidophilus a day that I discovered leftover in my closet, my allergies have gotten A LOT more manageable.  Not completely gone, but much better.

at your local library, you might want to glimpse into it.....also follow some protocols.
glad you already know your secretor status, that helps target the choices given.

you have seen the protocol index here online right?

there s an allergies protocol as well.

Lola, I don't believe I've seen the protocol index on here before, the site is a little overwhelming to me at times and I've been too busy with work to really delve into it of late.  Could you link to it?
