Haven't had time to read the whole thread, has anyone mentioned dumping syndrome? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastric_dumping_syndromeIt's where the food just goes straight through you. One way to check it's happening is eat some corn and don't chew it (or beetroot) and see how long it takes to go through you. I was having symptoms like that and it was caused by too much acid (had reflux at the same time too). So now I make sure no green tea on an empty stomach. Also taking calcium supps and having bicarb in water in the mornings and eating breakfast is very important, otherwise the stomach acid may build up and may cause even more acid IMHO. I'm not a doctor but that worked for me. Maybe some other reason that he's having it though. Breakfast, though, very important! |

Yeah Mayflowers, it may have saved my marriage too! It sort of made me understand him better. Being a man his emotions come out a little differently but the root of them is the same. Now when he is acting off I think of what I would need emotionally in that situation and treat him that way...he instantly responds. His son is an O so we still have to make some things different but that's not every day. I lucked out.
Gastric dumping...ew...I read up on it. It sort of sounds like him but I'm not sure. He no longer has a gallbladder so that is why I always thought fats got him so bad. Dunno. He doesn't have the other symptoms that go with it though...dunno. Food for thought there. |

I think I made a dent in his empty belly!!!
Ground flax seed is the answer! I ground 1 TBS of flax seed and added it to his morning shake. My man called me and said that for the first time he didn't feel the gnawing feeling in his stomach. He seemed so happy and joyful. Freaking flax seed. Oils go through him but ground flax and probably other ground nuts and seeds will do the trick. He thanked me over and over for feeding him this way.
I'm doing good. I have to give myself a little pat on the back. Yay! |

Great to read... You are doing a fantastic job getting your head around this diet! Such a great example! |

Interesting how much joy it gives you to feed him this way, how excited you are that he is happy.

Thanks ABJoe! That means a lot coming from you.
Yeah, it brings me great pleasure Andrea to see him feel good. I love him so much and to know I am helping him to be his best and feel good makes me feel good. Since I've met him my art has grown and is selling so well and it has a lot to do with him. I've never met anyone that can critique my work in a positive way that brings out the best in me. This is what I do for him. This is why we got married. I was starting to wonder prior BTD. |

ever had lemon water first thing in the morning?
I did for a while but would get rumbling stomach and too much acid churning like I was really hungry. Then I put it in with my green tea (lemon in green tea) and that's when I got acid reflux and my tooth enamel was suffering. It felt great for my detox but not for those aspects. So I found that I can't have acidic foods on an empty stomach (though lemon becomes alkaline after digestion). I will find out soon if I have H Pylori which I suspect. After that's cleared it may all change. Lemon I love with or after a meal, it helps digestion then. I like to wake up the liver with some fruit for breakfast though. Lori - glad DH is enjoying new foods you're giving him. You'll have him fixed up in no time! |
