Golf, antibiotics are effective against bacterial infections, but are useless against viruses. Glad you got a good Dr. who will treat your choices with respect! That's worth a lot!
It really is V, I feel so much better this morning. I have not been able to sleep laying down in bed for over a week due to the cough... Last night was the first night I actually slept in bed this whole time. Only one more day on the anti's and I have doulbled my Polyflora. Nice to feel human again |

Golf......get off the Lipitor!!! Poison, Poison!! The side effects are nasty - muscle and joint aches, weakness. May day - may day! We told you before - get some Krill Oil and take care of yourself naturally. And follow your Hunter diet, of course Another thought to stir the pot (and it WILL) is that I currently have a bladder infection. Went to my chiropractor, who practices DNFT (directional non-force technique) and does not "crack". He did specific checking on my spine to the bladder area and it was out of alignment. A little correction, and four hours later I feel better already... Let the contradictory, horrified...or...maybe some "yep I get it" comments begin.......
I'm a big believer in chiro but am not familiar with DNFT I will be off lipitor this week, just waiting for my chemistry results to see how agressive I need to be with the natural alternatives. Where does one get Krill Oil and what is it's source |

Thanks Isa, hope you had a great weekend! I will read the website you provide this evening. I have already stopped taking Nexium and am taking NAP's Gastro D. Lipitor will cease this weekend and then I will tackle the Paxil... Hope you are 100% real soon |

Many blessings for your continued healing, Golf! The transitions are always the worst in my opinion. You are smack in the middle of a big dietary, supplement, lifestyle transition, so patience is going to be an asset. Do you have lots of patience? |

Thank you so much V! As an individual I am someone who likes to effect change and see results, be it in my personal of professional life. However I am committed to achieving great healthier and getting off these meds! I have been on NAPS Gastro D Complex and I stopped taking the Nexium week before last. So there is one down with no issues of yet... This week is the Lipitor, I do however want to see the results of my blood chemistry to gain an understanding of how aggressive I will need to supplement with natural remedies. Then I will tackle the Paxil |

I have a feeling that your digestive issues will greatly improve without the need for chemical help, just by eating foods that are compatible with your own body. I'm pulling for you, my friend.
When will you know what your lipid panel is? |

I had my blood drawn last Friday consequently I will know this weekbut they said it might take a couple of extra days due to the extra tests I requested. I am anxious to see the results but am trying to be patient |

Umm krill!! Seriously its those tiny fish that whales feed on... But watch you get a brand that doesn't sneak in some fish oils as well...Which are fine but if you are paying for krill (its way more expensive ) you wanna get krill... The great thing about this as a source for omega 3 & 6, is that it is a lot purer being the first link in the food chain rather than much further down the line... Glad you are getting to the stage where you are feeling better!! |

Thanks!! And you??!! Yeah I did - went to the ACDC concert.... This coming weekend its the 7's (soccer) so we are in party mode... Not that I drink at all or indulge in non complaint food, but there was some nice lamb & salad there which I hadn't had to prepare...& we were both good at avoiding the tempting looking desserts.... I always say to myself "5 minutes on your lips; the rest of the time on your hips" However I also know that it will most likely end up on my face!! |

I get my Krill Oil from - GASP! - Mercola.com. Mercola is not a good word around here (check out another thread on him), but his Krill is quality and it does a great job in lowering cholesterol....has mine, anyway Krill Oil has been proven to be a better source of the omega's than "fish oil" as well as not have a heavy or "repeat" fishy taste. It's cold-pressed and mercury free (important!). My chiro did a patient test with willing participants....gave them Krill for one month and then had them recheck their cholesterol. Amazing results and those on Lipitor went off and never had a problem as long as they stayed on the Krill. Good luck, Golf~! |

Morning D+! Thanks, of course everything is realtive but in my opinion I can do this. I'm already off Nexium, I am awaiting my blood chemistry results and should be off Lipitor this week. I will next tackle the Paxil. I believe in Dr D, the science behind this process; and with support from all of you in time it will allow me to heal and get off these meds. This is not a weight loss issue for me, I Iost weight before I began the blood type diet. Perhaps I will adjust a few more pounds but my vision and belief from me beginning the BTD in Late Oct '09 was in my opinion THE way for me to get off the meds and begin a process of healing and a healthier lifestyle. Simple, case closed |

Definitely GZ. I glad you decided to go this route. In my opinion you went about it in the correct fashion. Consulted your dr & tackled it 1 @ a time. It's good that you got rid of the "easiest" but very important 1 1st. Yep good ole stomach acid is a must for digestion, if it wasn't so we would not be born w/ so much of it. How come it was good for us when we were younger & all of a sudden (middle age) western docs say it's not? Think about it. |
