I just ordered my secretor test. It's going to be a few weeks until I get the results, sadly.
I was looking around on the website, though, and it said that non-secretors generally have a higher number of antibodies on an IgG test. As it happens, I just took an IgG test, and had sensitivities to like fourteen thousand things (the issue, says my naturopath, is that I had a few undiagnosed food allergies that were causing me to react to everything). I also have lots of heartburn/hives/inflammation issues.
Now obviously nothing is going to be as accurate as actually taking the test, but in the meantime, does it sound to you more experienced folks like I might be a nonnie? |

hard to say, but following the guidelines will rid you of the most important avoids, causing all the inflammation in your system and thus the elevated IgG test
let us know what you turn out being

why weeks?
No exciting reason. I'm traveling to visit family for the holidays, so it'll be a week or so before I'm home to actually get the test and send it in. Then doesn't it take about two weeks to get the results back for that one? I'm totally new to this forum, so I'm going to see if I can figure out how to display location, etc. under my avatar. But in case I can't, I'm in the eastern U.S. |

Mine took every bit of two weeks. I was at the edge of my seat checking everyday! Keep us posted. Hey, if you are a nonnie, you get your own clubhouse! Lisa |

you are about a block away from the very place!!!
Oh, I know! I just realized that this morning, and have been seriously considering whether it might be worth trying to make an appt. at the center (although, as my general confused-headedness may indicate, I should probably wait until after the holidays to think about that more seriously). |

'Personalized Medicine' clinic shift at the UB Health Sciences Center (teaching clinic of the naturopathic college). I've got six very motivated student interns to supervise. If you've wanted ...to become a patient of the D'Adamo Clinic but found the fees prohibitive, this may be an alternative. Exam, labs and complete dietary workup are priced at something like $115. https://www.bridgeport.edu/pages/4412.aspask for the Personalized Medicine Shift on Fridays.. Dr D The UB shift is great for some people who are looking to economize, just as long as you understand that the UB shift is really not set up to provide the same level of follow up that the clinic in Wilton normally does. http://www.dadamo.com/clinic/
