i am currently waiting for my secretor test results, and i would also like to learn my MN type and A subtype. i see that many of you have discovered your types. before i google "MN type, Dolichos biflorus, or Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center Lab", i was hoping that someone could give me some direct info. (i am quite easily distracted and will most likely end up spending half my day reading all sorts of links). i live in the pacific nw (portland, oregon), if that helps you help me. |

I don't have the answer to that question, but I think someone will answer it shortly. Just wanted to say "Hi" to another Pacific Nor'westerner! |

One place to get this done is Southwest Naturopathic Medical Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. 480-970-0000 http://www.scnm.edu/medcenter/laboratory.phpYou do not have to actually go there. You just need a nurse to draw a small vial of blood to send to them. Request a "Serotype panel" This will confirm your Blood Type Rh factor Tell you Lewis group (determines secretor status) It will also tell your subtype A1 or A2 as well as MM, NN, or MN |

thanx for the info, c_sharp. before i spend time and money finding out my MN and A-sub, i just want to make sure that the secretor test that i ordered from nap will only tell me if i'm a secretor/non-secretor...it won't tell me MN or A-sub...correct?
p.s. "hi" victoria |

Yes, the secretor test from NAP uses a saliva sample.
To determine MN and A sub type, you need a blood sample. |
