I just finished my Secretor Test and elected to receive my results by web access. About how long do the results take and when should I check the website provided Thanks! |

Good luck Golfzilla...here's to hoping you are a secretor. Unless, of course, you want to age more gracefully like we nonnies do. Debra |

D+, so how do I change it if I don't like the results? Are nonnies more restricted on diet? |

You change your diet rather than changing your secretor status. Nonsecretors gain some foods and lose others. Non secretors get to eat more meat. O nonsecretors can eat avocados, mushrooms, lentils, pinto beans, mustard greens, catfish, salmon roe, coconut oil, nutmeg, ... that O secretors cannot eat |

I was kidding about changing my status, but find it very interesting about the meat adds! |

Like C_sharp says...foods that change not status. For the first little while after I found out I was a nonnie...I was kinda in denial. But...once you get your head wrapped around it...all is fine. Again...here's to you being a secretor. If not...we have a seat for ya in the nonnie clubhouse. Debra |

Ok you guys/gals, now I'm torn between hoping I'm not a nonnie and hoping I am...all because I LOVE avacados! I mean love'em so much I would consider selling my children on the street just to eat the sweet creamy green stuff...haven't had any the last month or so because they are an avoid and I've been assuming I'm a secretor--but darnit--I would hate to not be able to them regularly--they have been a staple for me a good part of my life! We shall see--just sent mine off today, too...was so glad the shipping cost was included in the price! |

Robydoo: you said you love avocadoes, but do they love you? How do you feel after eating them? Right after? hours later? a few days later? What I'm saying is sometimes the things we love & crave are the very things that are causing some of our health issues. That's where the secretor test will really help. If you're like I was, you're anxiously awaiting the results. Hope you don't have to wait long. |

Avocados? Cake with fluffy frosting maybe.. but avocados? My favorite vegetable is artichokes. |

That's a good question--I get the whole craving thing (crave cheddar cheese sometimes). At the time I was eating avacadoes, I was eating other avoids--so it's hard to know. I've always thought I felt pretty good eating them. One of my favorites was flax crackers (sprouted, no wheat gluten) with my homemade guacamole. Or spread on a toasted Ezekiel muffin...or in a salad. Also LOVE artichokes! I'll sit down and eat them two at a time...those always make me feel wonderful! Can't wait for test results, but the earliest would probably be sometime next week. |
