My ND called me and told me that based on the urine strip test I did, my body is too alkaline and that may be the cause for my contant vaginal infections. She wants me to get organ testing done with bio-energy testing at the clinic. Has anyone had this done before? Is it worth it?

Do you know your Genotype? Non secretors get more vaginal infections. I would invest in a secretor test before I did the organ testing. Bacteria from the GI tract often spills over into other parts of the body. Oh gosh... here I go a healthy GI tract will help, invest in the blood type specific probiotics for your GI tract, and it will help your vaginal tract. The health protocols also have targeted strategies for you on this issue.
Quoted Text
"Feces from blood group B secretors contain larger populations of bacteria producing B-degrading enzyme activity than do feces from other subjects. This is shown in Fig. 2, where the estimated fecal population of these bacteria is shown for subjects grouped according to their blood type and secretor capacity. The mean±1 SD logio estimated population per gram feces among the B secretors, 7.4+1.4, is statistically significantly greater than the mean logio estimated population of 2.7+2.2 per g among the A secretors, 0 secretors, and nonsecretors combined. Their fecal populations of B-degrading bacteria did not differ significantly from each other. Thus, on the average, the B secretors had 50,000-fold greater numbers of B-degrading bacteria per gram feces than did the other subjects. Among subjects other than B secretors fecal populations of B-degrading bacteria varied downward from levels comparable to B secretors in three to none detected in any fecal dilution in one."

have you thought of following one of the health series books to the T?
knowing your secretor status and propensity toward an alkaline environment might help you target your food choices, until your body achieves the balance you need.
BTD is balancing, anti inflammatory and ideal for your physiology.
I d try the aging book for a while, if there s no other specific health issue you want to address, with its protocols and all.... it definitely can t hurt! |

I'm getting the Genotype kit for Christmas. I just may look into the BTD book for aging. I talked to a ND yesterday and she said the BTD only works for 75 percent of her patients.
Anything is worth a try but I've been pounding away at this blood type thing for 4 years! The only thing it basically did was take the weight off of me. |

.
The other 25% need a secretor test. The GT diet will help. |

Thanks for your feedback. I also think my body is trying to detox because I am not eliminating more than once a day.

Andrea has a good point about addressing the health of your gut. It is more than important, especially for us non-secretors! PolyFlora B, ARA 6 and Intrinsia are our friends, and especially with what you are dealing with. Don't be afraid to use ghee liberally at this time also. |

Ghee is the fat that is easiest on your liver in terms of digestion.
So you digest the fat while the liver is busy getting rid of the junk. It make almost any food that is cooked with it tastes great - added bonus. Polyflora is to re-culture the positive intestinal flora that is helping you digest your food. ARA 6 is one of the best all round supplements for anything digestion related.
If you are interested in learning about Genotypes, B -ve nonnies could be Explorers as Nomads and Gatherers are mostly RH +ve. |
