I have decided to conduct a study within my Fraternity dealing with Blood Type and Personality. The first section of LR4YT was very interesting because it discussed the aspects of how there maybe a correlation between blood type and personality. I am studying neuroscience in school so I was naturally very intrigued at this subject.

I will devise a survey/observational study for the my fraternity, paying close attention to factors such as: leadership position, temperament, blood type, etc. My fraternity is unique in the sense that it contains many different types of personalities and social groups as opposed to other fraternities that seem to have a single mind set. While my fraternity my have varying personalities, there are some constants i.e. race and diet. My fraternity is unfortunately not very racially diverse and most of them consume a mainly Standard American Diet. Therefore many of them are probably eating outside the suggested boundaries for the BTD. My fraternity can be considered to have a leadership basis and a slight religious connection, but it is mainly a social fraternity. With that in mind type 0s maybe more prevalent within my fraternity.

Another aspect I'd like to look into is that everyone has a "best friend" within the fraternity that they are closest to, my question being is blood type related at all to platonic relationships. I.E. do Os get along better with other Os or rather As?

With blood type playing a major role in how our body deals with food and stress there should be a correlation between blood type and personality.

My biggest concern is how many people actually know their blood type. Yet, my fraternity is quite involved with philanthropic activities such as blood drives, so hopefully most of them will know.

I really like your idea.  Probably not many will know their blood types but your proposed study may intrigue them enough to find out and participate.  Keep us posted.

Dr. D's comments on Myers Briggs

Before the Web site was redesigned that was a survey/study that related Myers Briggs to blood types. I do not know where it is now, but you may want to look for it or do a search.

Briggs-Myers is also very important *gifts differing* here you can learn what might happen if something isn't that well developed in types... like  us ...fine explanations in there ....

The two books *please understand me I and II * are  real eye opener as well but the enneagram shows you what will happen when people get sick...here it is called...taking the desintegrative ways... mann hot..hot...hot...

Thanks for the links C_sharp I will try to mention some of the points in them.

One thing people need realize is yes we are all individuals but there are archetypes. Personality is not one big piece given to you when you are born but it contains many different pieces that make up its sum. Your genetic make up i.e. blood type plays a major role, but your environment plays an even bigger role in my opinion. I am just looking to see if any correlations are apparent though in this one piece of the puzzle.

As many of you may have heard that personality is developed within the first few years of life, this true the foundation of your personality is determined and this is where blood type takes a major affect. Yet as people age their personalities may change, even dramatically, but the founding blocks are still there.
