You probably need some supplement support.
Can you make a list of all your symptoms?
What foods bother you? May have to do with food combining? |

There's no point in eating foods that don't agree with you. I'd focus on the secretor beneficials and super-beneficials (omitting those individual foods that are problematic for you), along with healing supplements as Andrea suggested. I'd definitely include probiotics, in supplement form and/or in naturally fermented, unpasturized foods (as a secretor you can eat saurkraut!)
Make sure you eat plenty of red meat and oily fish. I'd stay away from all dairy except for butter and/or ghee, and cut out grains for a while (or at least keep it limited to 1 serving a day or less.)
Once you're feeling better, you can try adding in the "nonnie avoids, secretor OKs" but there's no point in adding in foods that you KNOW bother you. Remember that the BTD is not a COMPLETE list of "safe" foods for every individual. It's possible to be allergic or sensitive to a food that's otherwise OK for your BT. For example, I have a friend who's deathly allergic to garlic and peanuts, yet garlic is either beneficial or neutral for all 8 blood/sec types! It's possible that peanuts are an "avoid" for his blood type, but that's not possible with garlic! |

Congratulations on finding out. You can update your shield to be the Type O secretor.
In a few weeks/months, re-try the foods that bother you as you desire. Remember, there are no individual foods that are required. |

I would not hesitate to follow one of the health series books until your body detoxes and balances out......
the food lists are targeted to your needs and there are protocols included as backup
allergies, fatigue, aging come to mind.....choose one or the menopause book if you are around that stage in your life, don t see your age....
I was greatly helped by following the guidelines, leaving out the most important avoids ......compliance is key! |

Hi healthy4, if you are celiac, use no grain for a while ( the longer the better)and after try rice, amaranth and quinoa. Spelt, Kamut, Emmer and Rye are avoids for celiacs as barley. You will have relief rather quickly with gluten free BTD My two cents as celiac too Maria Giovanna |

Hi Healthy Welcome to the Secretor club. Hey we're healthier than nonnies! Be Proud! Try eating with digestive enzymes at your meals for O's. You might just need some digestive help. |

Have you been eating any gluten during the time you thought you were a non-secretor? If so, it's going to take some time to heal from gluten exposure. If you cut out gluten a while ago, then you're already in better shape than you'd be if you hadn't.
I read two separate books from the Health series; Arthritis and Fatigue (since Fibromyalgia has elements of both) and I found that the nutritional protocals were EXACTLY the same; the only differences were in the supplement suggestions (as the supplements were suggested to help with specific problems, and each book covered different problems with just a little bit of overlap). The actual texts differered slightly-both explained the general concept of the BTD and then delved into specifics about how BTD can help with the conditions focused on with each book.

Some of those symptoms sound very similar to my corn and corn derivative reactions. It is difficult to remove all corn from your diet (including corn derived things like citric acid, corn alcohols in flavorings, and xanthan gum) but I think if you haven't tried it before, it may be worth a try. Cutting out most beverages that you don't make yourself is a good start.
Does your doctor have you on a sifficiently high dose of D? D3 is better absorbed (and better in many ways) than the prescription form D2. Having low D and calcium can worsen your reactivity to foods and environment. Take some K as well, the blood test for that only detects severe deficiencies. |

Healthy4, it sounds like you are having some hypoglycemia. Maybe your adrenal glands are run down? They produce cortisol which is what raises your blood sugar when it drops too low. |

I am going to point out that you could be an "Explorer" from the GenoType diet.
They are an enigma that occurs on either secreter status and any ABO blood group.
They need constant detox, and wheat is horrible for them. Soy tends to be too. Your symptoms just add up and up, and so does your problems with the lists of food working or not working with you.
They are prone to hypoglycemia issues, and are hard to diagnose most of the time.
Consider the GenoType book. However if you PM me your measurements from Youtube. I can tell you what you are, so we will know if you are an enigma and should grab the GenoType book.
So far in my experience all my strange problems have cleared up with the Explorer diet rather than the constant strange battle pursued with Blood Type and listening to myself and other publications. However this is a suggestion, not necessarily the answer. |
