Dr. D did recommend being careful about your teeth with the lemon and water over the long term.
Lola, usually says to drink it with a straw so it doesn't touch your teeth. |

I drink roomtemperature in the morning and evening but I mix in some papaya poweder for a flat tummy. Cause the lemon balances the mushroomy taste of the papaya powder. Have not noticed any bad side effects on m teeth or stomach.
Isn't papaya an "avoid" for an A? |

What about lemon juice concentrate? I'm curious...does the lemon have to come from fresh lemons or can you get the same benefits from bottle lemon juice? |

For those A's who are Teachers though, papaya is a superfood. |

I add lemon juice to my green tea made with distilled water, so I guess it's a double whammy since this also helps you get all of the vitamins out of the tea. Normally your body can only take so much of the vitamins out of green tea, I forget exactly what it is, but I read that when you drink just green tea alone then your body is limited to about 20% absorption of said vitamin. But when you add the lemon then you can absorb much more of the nutrients from the tea, I believe it's the ascorbic acid which increases your body's absorption. I read an article about it on Yahoo Health a few weeks back but can't find it right now. |

Yes I do it too.
I start my day by going back to bed with about 2 cups of warm water and lemon juice. Not much just half a lemon or sometimes just a few drops. Sometimes even no lemon juice. And sipping it while reading something great.
Important to do this in the morning after all that detoxing going in the night.
I heard that its the warm water and particularly water that has been boiled for some time and then cooled down. The boiling ionises the water and this hydrates the body better meaning out go the toxins and in go the nutrients more efficiently.
I don't boil my water as I have a filtering/optimizing system that ionises my water.
Ayurvedic medecine recommends sipping warm water all through the day. The rest I read about somewhere but don't remember where.
I do exactly the same thing too! Always slowly drink 2 glasses of warm water after waking up. Then I wait around 30 minutes until I eat my breakfast. I seldom put lemon juice in it though, if I haven't had BM the day before, then my warm water would have half a glass of prune juice in it |

The poll should have more options:
3 - I used to but the acid was eating away my teeth. Green tea with lemon was even worse for causing teeth sensitivity.
Now I have lemon in water, at room temp with filtered water. Drink it through a straw inserted up the back of the mouth.
I don't have green tea on an empty stomach anymore as I got acid reflux from doing that! Not dared to try lemon and water on empty stomach yet either. Warm Chamomile tea every morning for me before breakfast now. |

Because green tea increases HCL acid, right? I should drink green tea to make more stomach acid. |

I drink my lemon juice in room temperature water. I started that when I was pregnant because I used to blow up like a balloon everyday. It kept me from going toxic. I have drank it pretty much every morning since. |

A glass of warm water with the juice of about half a lemon, first thing in the morning for me. Sometimes I have it after my morning walk, which means I will be drinking lots of water before the lemon drink. I love it!! |

Umm do you reckon Roxanne ever worked out that it was the effect of pregnancy that was making her "balloon up"??? Just kidding |

I've only been doing this 10 days and find that when I drink the lemon with hot water my teeth feel chalky if that makes sense. I am using half a lemon so think I'll reduce it to a few drops or cut it out. |

I use 1/2 lemon per liter of water. Most always the water I drink contains lemon and is rarely ever cold unless it's something I can't control i.e. a quick purchase at a convenience store while out and about. That's rare though as I usually have room temp water with me. My body likes it that way. |
