is it true that if you eat an 'avoid' that your pulse rate increases?
I have noticed this lately, and am sure that I read it somewhere.

Hmmm, that never happens to me, thankfully.

Increased pulse after eating can indicate allergy.  If you take your pulse before eating, then after eating, for up to several hours, there shouldn't be more than 20 more beats per minute.  If your heart starts racing (like mine does when I eat sugar), it can indicate allergy.  I would venture to guess you'd probably be more likely to be allergic to foods on your avoid list.

Well, yes, although I have to add that sometimes you can be allergic to something that's supposed to be beneficial.  But you may find after following the diet strictly for a while that you're no longer allergic to that food.  I used to be allergic to wheat and dairy.  Now I can eat it again (thanks to the GTD) with no trouble whatsoever.

Well, allergies or no allergies, when my stomach had a hard time digesting food.  My heart rate will go up.  About a year ago, actually more I think, my wife and I went out to Outback for her Birthday.  Well, I still was not feeling that great to begin with.  But I packed the food away.  Dessert and everything.  It took me the rest of the day to recover from that and we went early afternoon.  My heart rate was probably around 96 BPM.    When I first got sick 2 years, I had this symptom for quite a while after eating. And sometimes it didn't stop all day. I'm just now getting to the point that it doesn't always go up just from eating.  But when my insides are working or don't like something, my heart rate goes up.  It just is.  It took a long time for my heart rate to stabilize to a normal rate and for me to not feel like everything I do is a tax on my system.   Praise GOD that I'm getting better!!!!!!
