I removed my amalgam fillings two years ago, it was good for my sore gums but not perfect. My (holistic) dentist said that I might have problems with fluoride (sodium fluoride). I stopped using fluoride toothpaste and after a few months my gums where healed. I later found out that sodium fluoride had been used as rat-poison, no wonder it was hard on my gums.
I recently found out that old plastic fillings could contain metals like copper, cobalt and vanadium. I went to my dentist this January and told him this. He tested me and found out that I have a copper "overload". Yesterday I removed my old plastic fillings. Now I hope that the GTD will help me to detox. |

Hello Chloe!
I replaced them with another type of plastic. When I removed my amalgam fillings I told my dentist that I was hypersensitiv to chemicals, so he tested me for different types of plastic. He said that I couldn`t use the most common types of plastic but he had one type that I could use. That`s all I know.
Before I had my amalgam fillings removed I sometimes felt that my teeth were swelling up. After I removed the amalgam fillings they got "quiet", it was a big difference. And now after I removed the old plastic fillings, I can drink lemon and water without getting sore eyes.
There is one thing I have to mention. After I quit using fluoride toothpaste my hearing got significantly better. Now I can hear the tambourines much better and even in the bass area I can hear more details.

Anyone who is having mercury fillings removed should make sure the dentist places a dental dam in your mouth to prevent anything from going down your throat. Also, wear goggles on your eyes and a nose covering that is providing oxygen for you to breathe. Otherwise, you can jump from the frying pan into the fire. |

Thanks, Victoria....You've made a great point....I'm pretty sure if I wanted to have my fillings removed I'd go to a dentist that specializes in this procedure... but thanks for making us all aware what is required for safety...There is one holistic dentist in my area I keep thinking about seeing. And Yohannes I'm impressed you can hear better...and that your teeth got quiet. Noisy teeth can be such a nuisance! |

Metal fillings expand and contract with temperature changes in the mouth, making small cracks in the teeth. (Noises like trees in an ice storm? ) |

Holistic dentists can be very expensive; around here it is 1/3 more expensive to go to one. Then, there are some open-minded dentists that are not technically holistic, but are willing to work with the patients' requests. That's who I am currently working with. He will use a dental dam, oxygen mask on the nose, eye guards. That's about all. He doesn't follow a particular sequence of which teeth to remove fillings from. Some dentists work with the Huggins method, which is very specific as to procedures, and these dentists are spendy. |

if not a google search, perhaps a compound chemist can put it together? |

Lola, what do you think of this.......curcumin (turmeric) raises glutathione... I might just take more curcumin.
"Clinically Proven Benefits of Curcumin
Increases levels of Glutathione within the cell
Reduces levels of nearly every inflammatory cytokine
Improves liver detoxification
Chelates Lead and Cadmium and protects brain and body from damage caused by Mercury
Anti-Viral
Anti-Fungal
Decreases levels of oxidized (GSSG) Glutathione.
Potent PPAR Gamma Agonist
NF-Kappa B inhibitor" |
