I tried searching but didn't quite find anything.
I was curious what Dr D's stance was on BCP's for A's? I'm thinking of going off it because I've been on a long time and really want to get me body to the most natural state to heal. I'm a little worried about the side effects of going off the pill. |

I don't know what Dr. D's stance is, but in my opinion anything artificial that screws with the natural hormone cycle of a woman isn't something I want in my body.
Natural Family Planning/Ovulation Method is all we know of that's truly safe, non-invasive and chemical-free.
I'm willing to bet there are herbal tinctures or teas that suppress ovulation. But I don't know what they are. I'd be willing to try them if I could learn about them.
Can anybody help on this subject?
I'm sure in other parts of the world where herbal knowledge is commonplace, they would laugh at our ignorance. |

Searching the archives needs to be done from the search feature on the home page. http://www.dadamo.com/search.htmUsing the search feature on this forum only searches this forume. The other search feature will search the rest of the site. |

I would think that it would be the worst for As as their blood is thicker & the pill is related to clots.
I took it for 3 years, but wish I hadn't. I didn't have outward bad reactions, but now keep hearing that it isn't good. I did get some kind of reactions for a few weeks after quitting it. That was over 33 years ago. My older son is 32 now. I'm glad we waited a frew months to try to have kids as later I heard it was bad to get pregnant the first few months after quitting. Why didn't the establishment make that info known????? |

Yes, it seems that you want your body clean as clean as possible when getting ready for pregnancy. (Almost makes me think waiting a year after getting off pills/medication would be a good idea.) |
