Just wondering if there's any thoughts about how eating a food by itself might be digested differently when eaten together with other foods in a complete meal.
The glycemic index for various foods for example is different for those same foods when they are eaten in a meal with other foods.
Is it not conceivable that an avoid food such as wheat for a type o, as part of a large dinner with adzuki beans and lamb for example, might be reacted to by the blood differently?
To an extent, yes. Eating foods like walnuts and cherries with foods that are high in polyamines will lower the amount of polyamines that you would otherwise get. A few items are capable of neutralizing (to an extent) some lectins.
As for being able to eat wheat, I will only say that wheat is an O's #1 enemy. While you might be able to negate some of the bad effects by using Deflect or taking NAG, it's a long-term loser to take that path.
Another way to look at it is this: If combining made an extensive difference in the food values it would be included in the diet. While there are some things that can be done to partially offset the effects of some of the avoid foods, the better course is to follow the diet to the highest level of compliance that you can follow on a day-in-day-out basis. There will always be an odd meal that can't be helped, there is no reason to not be compliant as much as possible.

some eat their rice cakes with nut butter to stabilize blood sugar swings...... food combining has also assisted many with digestive issues, but always following BTD compliantly.
sprout wheat and you ll do ok, as long as you re not gluten intolerant!
