I have often seen the comments in newspapers, magazines, etc that women who eat red meat several times a day are more likely to get breast cancer. I guess if this theory were true, then vegetarians would have the least amount of breast cancer (and of course not everyone should be a vegetarian).

Has anyone done a study on this from that viewpoint? I am guessing this maybe a big overgeneralization based on some fact.

Thanks
Joyce

what the study doesn t tell you is that the great majority of those women was bloodtype A!!

Right Lola.

Quoted from BTD Encyclopedia
Substantial reasearch shows that blood group A women are over-represented among breast cancer patients, and that this trend continues even among women thought to be at a low risk for cancer.

A and AB are at the highest risk for breast cancer. Secretors have a slightly higher risk than nonnies.

In Denmark the cancer org. said that it ONLY mattered for half of the women
- BUT that they couldnīt excactly say who they were!!!!
so it was safer to say that all should eat a max of 3 portions of 4legged meat (as they call it here...)
I felt like screaming Dr D knows who they are .....

I've wondered what type of red meat was used.   Was it high quality hormone-free grass-fed beef or the junky stuff in the grocery stores?

And Henriette, I totally agree with your observation of what blood type produced what results.  After seeing my personal results on the BTD it has changed my outlook on any food or supplement study results that are released.

The BTD cleared up a major puzzler for me.  Why did some supplements work wonderfully for me and not for my girlfriend?  Surprise!  She's an O and I'm an A.  Mystery solved.

yes, and that is exactly why some diets  such as the Atkins Diet, work for some people and not for others.. I remember when my husband did Atkins he felt like he was sick all of the time..  no wonder.. he is AB!  all of that red meat was making him sick...

No one should be eating lots of meat anyway. A careful examination of daily food portions on the BTD for any type reveals emphasis is placed on fresh live foods like vegetables and fruits, some grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and dairy as appropriate for blood type, and small amounts of good quality red meat and fish--again, as appropriate for type.

I suspect it's more the abundant hormones, pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics in supermarket corn-fed meat that's the culprit, rather than just meat itself. And it could be that eating all that meat along with large amounts of highly refined or processed foods wreaks havoc as well. Bad news for all types!
