I'm curious - why are you waiting til the 24th? Shipping issues? Drooling was frustratingly slow for me til I googled pictures of sushi, ! In case you need ideas to make it go quicker. ...I was sure I was a secretor, too. It's a good thing I was sitting down when I read the computer screen for my results ...got over it, and when I adjusted my diet, voila', more problems went bye-bye! The moral to this story is Knowing Is Better, no matter what the answer. Knowledge is power. I'm going oboy oboy oboy for you! |

I'm in South East Asia, and the local NAP outlet waits for groups to get the test done so that the shipping charges work out cheaper for us. BTD is relatively new in this part of the world...and the awareness is slowly growing Yeah, I really want to know!!!! |

Congratulations to all of you! Knowledge is power, and knowing your secretor status means you can all reach a much higher level of compliance on the BTD. Let us know! |

Great news...once one finds out their secretor status, it enables them to have more optimal health as there are slight nuances with food rating changes and portion/frequency recommendations.
I feel it is better to be informed rather than having to second guess oneself with eating decisions on a daily basis--especially if one is practicing the BTD way of eating and living for a lifetime.

Dr. D talks about this in LR4YT, but to be honest it confuses me a bit too. It's very technical. Curious about this myself and I'm sure someone will be able to explain it. |

I was supposed to get this for you. Dang. Give me some time to track it down. I'll leave this thread open to remind me. It requires a specific blood test to determine A1/A2 & MN subtype status. There is a place that does the testing....you just have to get a doctor to write the scrip for it. |

Your A+ = (ABO=A)+(rhesus=+) You will need to have another blood draw and two tests done to determine your A1/A2 and MN subtypes. You can get a full serotyping done from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Testing includes: ABO type A1 or A2 subtype Rh +/- Lewis type MN type You should probably make sure you have a way of getting the blood drawn before ordering the test kit. Some people have said they haven't found anyone to do it, at least without a doctor's lab order. |

I had my secretor test done yesterday. I am just waiting for the results by mail. I am really looking forward to see if I was right about status all along or is it the opposite. We'll soon find out.

I´m not sure - but maybe http://www.right4eu.us/that was were I got mine. A1 and A2 - you do not have to worry about - just subtypes of A´s. |

Daniela ....you can do it in Switzerland only by a bloodtest called Lewis test, shows you up what's about it = (a+b-) = nonnie (a-b+) = sechi (a-b-) = none of both but should eat like a nonnie about A1 and A2, doesn't bother you because you are both O's ...Those are subgroups of the A's likewise me, I am an A2B nonnie, there are A1,A2 and a very seldom subgroups A3 (bantu) therefore we do have different recommendations for the foods in the LR4YT....and now I am too lazy to explain the MM..MN..NM thingies, because I don't remember em exactly ...so far it is written in the LR4YT thanx for looking into and night-night : |
