I agree with Mikeo, and try to emphasize the beneficial ones! |

I try to eat only beneficial fruits for my blood type. Fruit can be expensive, so I stick with the ones I know are good! I probably eat more portions than recommended, but enjoy it. I mostly put them in a morning smoothie. Seems to work well for me. At night before bed, I have been having some frozen blueberries in a bowl as well.
Low sugar fruits are okay at night, I think.

Are you meaning blueberries are a low sugar fruit? If so, if I'm not mistaken they are a high glycemic food............ but if they don't bother you, I'm sure it's good for your body to have a beneficial at bedtime. . |

I would emphasis the beneficial fruits or super beneficial fruits if one is following one of the Health Series books.
A focus on the dark hued fruits has more antioxidant benefits.

Thanks everybody !! I do eat fruits alone sometimes ... however; often I will eat blueberries with cottage cheese and honey with a few walnuts on top ... Yummi !!! or a banana rolled up in a tortilla with almond butter ... Delicious Another thing that is soooo wonderful is frozen red grapes with plain natural yogurt ... a real treat !!! Do my fellow B'S indulge in honey on a daily basis ?? That's what I've been taking in alot of lately especially since I have stopped eating desserts ... gotta replace all that bad sugar with a healthier one, hence I figured honey would be my best bet ... |

If your are eating fruits with the fats and carbs and you have any digestive problems doing so, then you're fine.
Some people food combine/separate to assist with digestive challenges.

According to the typebase blueberries are a diabetes superbenificial for all types except O for which they are a beneficial. That ties in with the fruit quantities my diabetic dad is allowed:2 figs or a cup of blueberries. He, a B, has verified that with his blood sugar meter. |

Honey is still a sweetener and therefore you will probably be better off using it sparingly. When you use it with fruit you are getting a double whammy of sugar. |

Hmmmm I do have some digestive issues; thats why usually I try to eat my fruit alone but with cottage cheese or yogurt and especially with honey and a few walnuts it's such a treat !!! and I figured that it's better than having a fatty dessert all the time ... |

Hi MoDon, Hope u're well ? U're probably right ... I guess I'd be better off putting honey in my tea instead, right ?? I'll make a mental note of that and just save those types of treats when I'm having a sugar attack !! Thank-u |

You might want to test the food separation method for a day or week and see if your digestive symptoms change.
I have fruit with my breakfast which includes a protein source, a grain source, and a nut/seed source. I eat two more servings of fruit later in the day only as a snack in between meals.

Lisalea, Or, you could gradually wean yourself off sweetners. You are eating a lot of fruit which actually has a lot of natural sugar. Your body will quickly get used to doing without it. I never would have believed that I could ever give up honey! Especially in my tea! But I haven't eaten it in years, and sweet tea now tastes so wrong to me. Blueberries, cherries, pineapple, grapes . . they are so nicely sweet just by themselves. |

Being a be keeper - I use some honey - but not a lot - I would say 1 tbls sweetner maximum pr day - that includes honey, maplesirup and moscavado sugar - Off course some days I have none - other days - like saturday- I might have a dessert- and it would be more. I neveruse it in tea- but on my yoghurt it is nice. I don´t really eat jams anymore- but sometimes a bit of stewed fruit is nice- and I´ll use small ammounts for that.
Fruit is very varied: I eat about 2 servings of fruit now- but that is wintertime- My body does not want it - while in high summer - I would be closer to 3-4 servings - all the berries and watermelon...... |

As a type B fatty desserts (as long as they are healthy fats) might be better for you then too many carbs from sugars/sweeteners. |

I used to eat a lot of fruit, UNTIL I moved to the UK. Cost and quality basically forces one to stick to more veggies.
Apparently it will be MANGO SEASON when I go to India this summer!!! |
