"are you taking anything w/ psuedophedrine in it?"
No, drugs of any kind are extremely hard on my system, so I avoid them at all cost. When I had my hysterectomy, I had to pre-approve all medications... and I still reacted badly to the antibiotic. I have an over-reactive immune system so even something as "harmless" as an OTC decongestant is hard on me. I go the natural route instead.
The palpitations got much worse after surgery, and there are some days when they are so-so, and some days when they are quite bad. The cardiologist told me the sensation I feel is similar to what is known as a PVC (premature ventricular contractions), meaning a ventricle is out of sync with my heart. But, he said my ventricles are fine. (I did the full testing... Halter Monitor, stress test on the treadmill, echocardiogram, etc.) That's why the doctor said I needed to look into an imbalance, because my cardiac system is functioning as it should.
I'm going to up my Vitamin C intake, and add L-Glutamine and Pantothene, and see if there's a difference.
Stress is a huge deal with me. When I am under emotional stress my heart feels like it's coming out of my chest. I had to break up with my boyfriend because he's such a high-stress, negative individual and just being around him was taking its toll on me. (Obviously, our personalities did not mesh, so he wasn't good for me on many levels.) But my point is that if I do indeed suffer from adrenal fatigue, then that would explain why outside stresses make me feel so ill. It's as if my body is incapable of channeling and processing stress, so it manifests in physical symptoms. Scary stuff!

No, I've never been a coffee drinker. Not even in college. Never liked it! I'm a tea drinker, and after experiencing a bad lymphatic system reaction to caffeine several years ago, I go basically caffeine-free. My cardiologist told me green tea contains such a small amount of caffeine it's not a concern. Mainly, coffee and chocolate are the culprits.

mellodrone, Victoria mentioned how adrenal fatigue (a/f)made/makes her have palpitations. It was not until I read that, that I connected that w/ myself as well. I knew I would feel this sometimes but never connected it to a/f, tho that was before I was diagnosed w/ adrenal exhaustion. Since my adrenals are just about totally shot, I really had to crack down on being de-stressed, getting the proper sleep and drinking all my water. It has all helped. It seems you are on the right track w/ upping your Vitamin C , and adding Pantothene. Not sure on the L-Glutamine. Maybe someone else knows or if you're sure on that, great!! I think there are some recommendations on the dr. lam site I posted in an earlier post in this thread. If I get a chance soon, I'll try to look thru my A/F book and see if there are recommendations in it.
