Finally my sister has decided to do a turn towards BTD.
She is a B rh - like I - and properbly secretor as well- She basically has all the systems I used to have 7 years ago + a few more :
Overweight about 30 kg
lots of streph infections all the time
problems with PCOS
UTI
BAD skin  - fatigue.
She knows all the basic B diet from me- and I thing she┤ll be fine.

BUT she is interested in doing some detox.

A common detoxprogram here is:
NO alchohol, coffein, sugar, grain and dairy except organic butter.
Lots of veggies and fruits, some legumes andnuts.
About 1/3 of a meal should be protein like  eggs, fish orlean beef, veal, lamb etc and 2/3 veggies or fruit beans.
1-2 tbl pr meal olive oil, ghee or flaxseed oil ( quite a lot I find

Lots of drybrushing exercise etc.
She is pretty interested in this detox- and I think that IF she follows B reccomedations she will be ok - but what do you B┤s think -
Have any one done any detox programs ?

Not a B, but imho, just the diet itself will detox her in a more healthy way than any type of program out there.  The BTD is an anti-inflammatory diet as long as she eliminates all avoids.

But it she wants something that will give her possibly some faster results and, she really wants to "detox" then, I'd recommend she follow the dietary guideline in one of the Health Series Books ~ pick one that would cover at least one of her health issues~ (basically, refining the diet even more by eliminating Infrequent Neutrals) along with the dry skin brushing and deflect, deflect deflect!  Deflect will help scrub out the old bad lectins that have binded to tissues.




Knowledge is power.  SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.

Thanks KK- That was what I tried to tell her- but you know little sisters wont always listen to big sisters
She is very much set on doing that detoxprogram- BUT at the same time she keeps saying: should I eat chicken when they write it ?- all I can say is really :use the benefical foods from B- and use the detoxprogram in a combo if you feel like it.

She asks about the clorella as well( I have only used it a bit this summer- so I can┤t guide her)
Should she use the high dose they suggest or - slowly build up ?

That detox program sounds just fine to me, not too extreme at all.  I would probably tweak it a tiny bit to make it work better with the BTD.  I'm quoting your post:

I would use ghee instead of butter.  Much cleaner.
Legumes are not really very cleansing and can be acid forming.
If she can use beneficial veggies and fruits it will be even more powerful for her.
I would focus on eggs, fish and lamb instead of the beef and veal.  Easier for a B body to digest.
Encourage her to stay away from avoids.  She should not touch chicken with a 10 foot pole!  It's #1 on the B worst avoids list.  Turkey is a good alternative.

I really like chlorella and use it daily.  It can start up intense cleansing reactions.  If she can handle it, go for it.  I take plenty and like the effect, but I can see how in the beginning of changing a diet, it might be necessary to start out slower.

It was excactly my thoughts as well
She won┤t touch ANY fish so I suggested:
(Very clean) salmon oils to get some omega 3
She lives in a big city were lamb is cheap and easy to get  so I think she will focus on that
+ some turkey and organic freerange veal. ( I think both of us handles veal and beef fine- maybe wishfull thinking....)

She is already off the chicken and in most cases tomatoes- Corn is not a major problem here:
BUT She loves chickpeas, sesame seeds- safflor oil, sesames oil - and wrong nuts......
SO I have asked her to either trow a party and use any beans and nutss up- or trow the oils out- I would .
Wrong oils are really a bad issue for me .
I think her BIGGEST problem is that she eats very little protein - good amounts of veggies and fruits- too many grains and sugars.

What about the pretty excessive ammounts of oils /ghee. pr day ??? is it fine
It sounds alot to me- but they say it is crusial to have good oils at every meal.

They say to eat flaxseed oil as well-  I always fine them stale so I thought I would recommed her to freshly grind the seed instead.

I think the oil/fat intake would be way excessive for me.  Maybe for a short period of time, with a specific purpose in mind, it won't do harm, but I can't see the sense in it.  It's true that most people get a dangerously small amount of beneficial fats in their diets.  Maybe she could stick to the lowest end of the recommended range.

Sufficient protein is essential for B's otherwise, we become starch addicts, and wreck our health.  Then, what's the use of cleansing diets?  

And I agree with you on freshly ground flax, especially if she is getting all that ghee and olive oil.

Hi Henriette

Your sister's plan sounds alot like a detox program I did awhile ago.

I don't think the fat intake to be all that excessive. I can certainly see one tablespoon at a meal... especially if olive oil is part of a salad or drizzled over steamed vegetables. And if you sister hasn't had any healthy fats in a long time, then her body will most likely be craving for them.

Thanks for both of your advices.

I am just so happy to see that she is finally moving away from the semi-vegetarian diet - that used to give me so much trouble years ago.

About the oils- maybe it is a matter of being nonnie-or secretor- I think she is a secretor like I  so the "high" amount of good fats should be fine.

Maybe as important as the diet will be the B appropriate exercise.  I know that when I exercise, I detox more...  I have to watch that I get too active and end up in bed for a day!  Just by eating beneficials and making sure the digestion/elimination is functional, the body will detox.  It is really a great "machine".

I guess that the first address is much cheaper?? but I din't compare until now but I worked for looooooong times with those products from Michael Murray, Natural Factors and they are just superbe but hals I am no more allowed to work with them, only recommendation
