I guess I am so boring! I voted for exactly what I am.
Reason is.....I have spent so much of my life with an uncomfortable body because I was eating wrong, and now that I have found such an easy ticket to health, along with a comfortable body, I have come to LOVE the foods that make me feel good!!
I don't miss the foods that are not good for me, because they are associated in my mind with the way they used to make me feel.
Only one thing I would change if I could.........I guess, I might prefer to be a secretor so that I would have a sturdier immune system/vitality/protection thing in place in my body. But at least, being a nonnie makes me take this very seriously, indeed!! No foolin' around here! I know I can't afford the luxury of carelessness or indulgence.
So I love my B non status, and feel that it has saved my life.
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. ~Mary Jean Irion
Sorry for the late reaction! Have had other things on my mind. Well, for being type A2+, secretor, MN, I am happy with it.. When Peter typed me in the clinic in september 2001, he complimented me with my 'great' blood!!! Wowww, first time I got a bloody compliment!!
I love my A-diet, feel great.. Never liked meat... Dairy caused eczema as a kid.
I am hAppy
But if I could choose, I think I would like to be a B... Yes, the body-mind connection intriques me.. Those B's and AB's are more in control of their body than A's and O's . No, I would not like to be an AB... too tolerant immunesystem. (Sorry Isa!! ) No, no O for me either.. no, too prehistorical those types!!! So oldfashioned... (sorry Yaman!! ) I will stick to my A-status. A stands for firstgrade!! A-quality. That's my type!! tAke cAre and stAy well..
I too sometimes envy B's - because of the dairy (LOVE brie, cottage cheese etc.) they are allowed to have.....
But...... living on the coast - I could NEVER give up my crab, shrimp ,clams, crayfish etc.... I also LOVE beef and am so glad I can finally eat it guilt free!!
I also picked my own blood type. Kinda funny cuz when i did the blood typing a month ago I was so psyched to find out that i was B. Haha it sounds dumb, but I am addicted to dairy products, especially cheese, and I predicted i was going to be type O. What a pleasant suprise. I am still pretty new to this whole thing so I am slowly learning. The one thing i will absolutley miss is tomato sauce and ketchup. Coming from an italian family dosnt help haha, we eat sauce like everyday and i eat ketchup on everything ugh, its ok i found a banana ketchup that tastes like ketchup!! The second missing is shellfish and crustaceans! oh no, its ok tho becasue i dont eat it often, altho when i do YUM.

I think I am OK with my blood type as I enjoy the things I eat. I guess I would only pick A nonsecretor because they can have peppers and tomatoes. I miss cajun seasoning and salsa sometimes.
Don't know yet if I'm a secretor or not but if I find out I'm a nonnie, tomatoes and peppers would be a reason to celebrate! However, I seriously think I'm a secretor because since I haven't eaten tomatoes and peppers I feel better. I just got a secretor test and have to pick a day to actually do it.
Just found out I was a non secretor, let me live with it for a time and then I can finally vote. Not sure I would have voted to be what I am. I guess that is good cause then it shows God knows best in making me what He wanted me to be.
Beouemom sounds like bay way mom and I think Colorado is a great place to live.
Unfortunate for me, but I think B's have the best diet preferences. Maybe there is a Phlebotomist surgeon out there who can help me?? haha A new reality TV show?? NOT. Enough with the reality!
Why aren't there more votes for A? A would easily be my second choice, after B of course. I always liked tofu, and they get a little dairy, enough to make me happy.
But, I do have my sweet potatoes, and I can't say that I'm not fond of steak. I'm starting to feel more comfortable with my O nonnie-ness.
Type O+ blogger, secretor afterall. Gluten intolerant. With two gluten intolerant sons:  A+ Secretor 10 yo (also fructose intolerant and slightly egg allergic), and  O- 7yo.
When I first read ER4YT I thought I was an O, and was a wheat eating vegan. I had no faith in the diet until I read my medical records, and discovered I was an A!! So except for the wheat I chose the A diet years ago. No longer a strict vegan I would love to partake in the eel and shellfish my O husband enjoys. Is there a wheat, icecream, potato and take-away option in this fantasy world? I have been questioning clients and colleages alike as to their preferences and blood type. Except for a few avoids that are just too readily available in fast food(wheat) most are naturally inclined to their type diet.
I picked my type because I was surprised to find that I had laready made some of the changes in food and exercised that are for AB. I didn't look at the other types; I'm not one to compare my lawn to the neighbors'.
I must say I no chicken seemed daunting, but I've been able to work around it.
as a former vegan I would have really loved if I had been A, so I could have gone on with soy and without having to eat this meat, it tastes so,,, dead,,,,
but Im kind of starting to enjoy being B anyway, maybe the things I value in myself are from the B genetic heritage, even though this B idealism with B soy intolerance is a mindbender,
but what can one do, to be what one is, trying to get more healthy,
You aren't forced to eat anything beneficial or neutral if you don't like it... so if you don't like meat, why do you eat it? There's so many beneficial food for a B and it doens't make any sense to eat something what someone doesn't like anyway.
wow this was a hard choice. But i miss my meat, and if I were an O I could have every type I like and shell fish too.....And havent had any since I developed an alergy to it a few years back. Probably because I am an A. I dont miss cheese to much and can do without the grains and breads too. Just give me my beef back, and venison, duck, liver and lamb, ughhh still no pork chops but as long as I have beef I am ok.
I chose my own bloodtype! How very exciting, huh? (I guess I'm a secretor - don't know for sure yet)
I do envy my B-type husband sometimes. I love diary! But I sure am a carnivore , and as Cheryl said on page one - the O-deseases sound less serious, so...
I voted in this poll a while back and picked my own blood type of A. Haven't changed my mind about that. Been experimenting and trying new foods and ways of preparing. We A's are sometimes repeatative in our food choices. One week I ate avocado every day for lunch! But my horizons are expanding and my 2 O's are more receptive to less avoids and more neutral/beneficial foods because I have made an effort to try new foods and recipes. They like lamb, Who knew? And for all of us missing pork- try panbrowned turkey cutlets. ... Diane
Non-secretors have to work twice as hard to get half as far...SusieD
I used to think A-type was 'cool' for vegetarian I couldn't do the BTD at first due to secretor list was BAD for me. But I am good at sticking to my guns and predominantly a 'backsliding vegan'. Besides the sushi bar, when I eat meat I'll butcher it first before I support the plastic industry.
I like cultured products BUT I'm not hung up on the dairy deal. Once you get the hang of making your own nut/seed milks there is a whole new world to discover....
But I know that there is more to BTD than ABO or secretor--I am still walking my own path. One day I'll have my own lab to do my own Lectin tests.

Finally sent in my saliva test and found out, much to my surprise, that I'm an O secretor. And pretty happy to be one, actually! I do miss dairy (mostly stuff like cheesecake and ice cream), but the O sec food plan has BEEF--and I am a total carnivore! So I'm content.

I love being a B secretor so that's what I chose. I do wish beef were in the beneficial list, though. I have given up on finding rabbit and thank goodness I like lamb. I have loads of fish choices, though.
I have always hated beef even when I was a little girl, I would cry when my O mom would make Hamburgers. I wish I was a nonnie, b/c I love tomato sauce and to have Watermelon be a bene I would be in like flynn!
