It would appear anyone can make a moronic study designed to serve a bias, and get published on PBS...

The placebo is pact full of caesin, the other most offending protein. And these studies were way to short to see a difference in intestinal permeability changes.

Other studies with biopsies showed intestinal permeability wasn't dependent on responses to tests that check for immune responses to gluten/wheat. BIOPSIES. The one linked to was nothing more than an observational hackary of science.

Even if someone creates psychosomatic symptoms, it doesn't mean they aren't getting the negative effects of something. There is no control of the expression of problems with gluten/wheat, and they aren't always time specific. Someone who eats more vegetables won't see the negative affects as early as someone else because of the butyric acid created by digesting the vegetables will keep the intestines healthier for longer... Etc..
