Sugar tax!! I'm glad something finally got their attention! Maybe I'm being cynical about their "concern" for children eating their junk and becoming ill, but these self-important characters have been told for decades that they are producing harmful junk! |

There are these Japanese candies (neither salty nor oily nor crunchy) that are I swear the most addictive things you'll ever eat. They're chewy. They have hyper-flavors such as Lichee, Green Grape, other fruits... They've been infused with super-mega-doses of the flavoring, and each chewy bit is individually wrapped, taking up lots of space in the cellophane bag. There is just no way to eat only one of these candies. Or two. Or twelve...
It's been years since I've had these. But they're unbelievable. I definitely had the sense there was keen science behind the flavor, optimizing addiction-potential. All other addictive foods are like gateway drugs to this one -- You've Been Warned. |

I haven't eaten much junk food since the 1980s. It's called common sense. |

@San j: Yuck, I hate chewy candies! |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

You don't have to warn me about this sort of junk. I eat a tad of a Unibar once in a while, but NONE of this other stuff! |
