I like to do mini exercises all through the day, esp on the days i don't get to do a good workout or an hour long ride or a steady walk. People evolved walking a good 15 miles a day as a minimum, with bouts of running, jumping, climbing, squatting, and moving in all types of ranges, throughout the day. Not in one segment of an hour of a day, with the rest being sitting doing nothing. Esp with doing exercise in the same plane of motion day in and day out with no variation.

Very interesting video. I need and feel better moving about a lot, but not really in to those gym activities. |

I have a friend in Florida who is the fittest person I know with abs like rocks and she NEVER goes to the gym. She does VIGOROUS housework and when she shops she takes two baskets and does tricep pull-ups as she carries them : ) The interesting parts of this video are these: - they proved that ones response to exercise is gene linked and should be tailored to the individual (nothing new for us there , but still...) - walking/ moving fast for weight loss has bigger results than one would think ("the chair will kill you!") - doing the 'Hit' training on the bike has amazing results for your health, taking it only takes three(!) minutes total per day and then only three times a week!! As Michael Mosley (presenter) said even someone lazy like him can do this! I totally agree with everything you said, but this stuff is so intriguing that I will definitely include it as part of my total 'exercise regime' |

Horizon - The Truth About Exercise (BBC, 2012)
The emergence of medically typological thinking. "I am a "toffee" - thin on the outside and fat on the inside." Gatherer genotype?
"What is wrong with the government exercise guidelines?" "They are not individualised."
Exercise "super-responders" the upper 15%. Exercise "non-responders" the lowest 20%. Blood test for your genetics will predict which you are.
"The current public health guidlines are currently a one-size-fits-all approach."
"Why does VO2max predict good health?" - "We don't know." |

I wish I could get tested for exercise response! That would be interesting.
Gatherers non-responders? Hell no. They are heavy responders (but not as high as Hunters aerobically). Think football linemen.
The guy in the video and people from India in another little video about skinny fat people... It comes from malnutrition. I suspect they are either Teachers or Explorers. Either way their genetic expression and diet always show problem of high toxicity and lack of protein use/b12 (thinned hair, light edema, eye glasses, withering cardio system). |

I believe he did three 20 second burst = 1 minute a day. 3 minutes a week. Amazing sure is a shame they didn't include blood type in the study |
