In the following paragraph I don't understand the last comment which i have highlighted in red. It's not very clear, If this is true i didn't know this. my take on this is that iodine O's should lower their levels of iodine or does it mean salt lowers iodine levels?
What to Eat: Eat lean beef, lamb, turkey, chicken or fish (like bass, cod, halibut, sole and rainbow trout), kelp, seafood and (in moderation) salt, which lowers your levels of iodine, giving you optimal thyroid function.
It's a strange statement. I believe they mean that because so many commercial salts are iodized, lowering salt intake will therefore lower your iodine intake. Not sure why they state that lower iodine intake would lead to optimal thyroid function, as there is more to thyroid function than iodine consumption.

It doesn't seem like a very accurate article at all. No eggs? No beans or legumes at all? That's not an accurate representation of the O diet!
I don't know what they meant about salt,iodine, and thyroid function, but overall I wouldn't put much stock into ANYTHING that article says. It's great that it's promoting BTD and gives Dr D's name so interested folks can find his books and/or this website, but that's ALL this article is good for. None of the details are accurate.
