Gatherer?  I thought that the G1 stood for something else, like GT4, etc.

I'm pretty sure that Lola means GT1.

I have just added butter back to my diet after years of eating mostly ghee.  Which is better?  I like ghee but am tired if it.

The butter I buy is Kerrygold from Ireland and it's delicious.  I certainly hope those cattle are grass fed.

I buy salted butter to use as butter, and unsalted butter to make into ghee. I like keeping both on hand, for different purposes.

I use butter for making frosting (for family birthday cakes) and greasing the pans when I make quiche (that my girls eat for breakfast on school days.) Sometimes I'll eat butter on a rice cake. Sometimes I eat plain ghee on a rice cake. I usually put ghee on my breakfast veggie omelette.

I've been cooking my quinoa with oil olive, and it just didn't taste quite right.  I used butter the last time and it was so much better!

I eat more than I used to.... have cut back on olive oil.

I use organic  grasspastured butter - salted and cultured for eating and often unsalted for ghee.

Sometimes when I feel bad I eat a bit of butter and bingo I feel better straigh away.

Sadly by August we´ll get and extra tax on fat here
- So I´ll either go to Sweeden and buy my butter/cream/met/olive oil
or stock up plenty before the tax.

Butter is a black dot where ghee is a diamond for me.  I love the taste of butter.  At home I use ghee.  When I travel I’ll snatch some butter from the dish & put it on my rice cake.  As long as the bread or rolls at a restaurant are not whole wheat or rye I can have bread & butter (both black dots).  I enjoy the treat.  At home all my bread & noodles products are spelt.

Same here, unfortunately.  When I have my own kitchen and I'm not worried about the mess it makes, I'll probably make some more ghee, but until then, I'm eating butter!

I've bought ghee for years, recently started using more butter.  I think I will use ghee to cook & butter on veggies & toast.
