This explains so much..

Quoted Text
From the link   Using bioinformatics to compare the standard assembly of genetic elements as outlined in the reference human genome to raw whole-genome data from 310 individuals recently made available by the 1000 Genomes Project, the team revealed 1,016 new insertions of RIPs, or retrotransposon insertion polymorphisms, thereby expanding the catalog of insertions that are present in some individuals and absent in others.

so now I know why I can be addicted to some thing as soon as I do it twice.. as in: the gene saw what it liked.. as in many different chocolate froms.. and immediately jumped on that bandwagon and 'connected' the 'Geno's' with silver threads of memories..  ha-ha.. love it.. thanks for posting this.. seriously thanks.. good stuff..

Thanks for posting. I don't totally understand it- but from what I do understand, it is fascinating. And to think, we all might be individuals-- now where have I heard that?

I don't know about "RIP's" as an anacronym-- a little fatalistic!
