Research in the Radboud University in Holland has shown that kids following a special diet don't show anymore signs of ADHD after only 5 weeks. RED stands for Restricted Elimination Diet. Most significant foods that are eliminated from their diet are milk, wheat and tomatoes. And they say food has no impact on your genes... yeah right!
Quoted Text
Lidy Pelsser PhD of the ADHD Research Center in Eindhoven tested a diet restricted to certain foods including rice, white meat, vegetables and fruits on children between the ages of 4 and 8 for five weeks. Among the foods eliminated from the diet were wheat, tomatoes, oranges, eggs and dairy products. The diet was not “eat this and not that” per se; each child had a meal plan individualized for foods that may cause them problems.
And it's on a individual basis. English link: http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2810%2962227-1/abstractDutch link: http://www.trouw.nl/nieuws/zorg/article3409520.ece/RED-dieet_helpt_tegen_ADHD.html |

Yep, corn, soy, all gluten and all nightshades should be the next step. |

All I know is that my brain is the first that suffers after ingestion of wrong foods. Wheat and sugar being culprits. |

Right.....I should list the nightshades: peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, tobacco. There are a few others, but not for human consumption--in fact they are poisonous. |

I would be willing to bet that Swami diets would do significantly more than a diet based on IgG response alone.
It would be a great test of Dr. D' Adamo's diets to pit the two kinds of nutritional counselling against BTD, GTD, and Swami. Don't hold your breath, but should a researcher decide to do this and get the resuts in a peer-reviewed journal, then the real fireworks would start! |

Aren't there enough grad students to undertake these kinds of studies for their theses projects? |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

My son just saw a Doctor. He thinks my son is ADHD. He would like my son to undergo $1100. worth of testing. If my son would only listen to me about how he abuses his body. |

ADHD is greatly misdiagnosed, Princess.
How old is your son? Does he have any addictive behavoirs? Have you checked his fingerprints? Explorers are likely more at risk for ADHD. Has he any language difficulties?
