Interestingly, a high protein diet is one of the things that inhibits dopamine beta hydroxylase (an enzyme that converts dopamine to noradrenaline).
DBH is much more labile in type O (explains their higher occurrence of bi-polar depression).
Higher dopamine usually results in a feeling of well-being and satiation. |

knowing that I have a freezer full of this winter's meat clears away a lot of anxiety and is claiming. If one is claim I guess they would be less agressive. How agressive is an A if their foods were lacking? Wonder if A's feel the same way with photo's of meat? |

It seems odd they would be comparing a picture of an angry cat to a picture of a cooked steak on the plate. Reminds me of an author promoting vegetarianism who said (and I paraphrase) "If you put a live animal and a salad in a crib with a baby which one do you think the baby would choose to eat?" What! So much for science. |

Thanks for the happy chemical release. I'll be cracking up on that one all day! My theory is the person's mind immediately started thinking about having a nice meal. It's not difficult to get a nice meal and it's hard to be angry (or agressive) when you are looking forward to something pleasant. I don't even eat red meat, but a picture of a steak might get me thinking about dinner. Now I'm thinking about lunch... mmm, food. |

The article didn't say whether the images were of cooked meat or raw meat. |

To me type O vegans always seem to be the most anxious...
Which is why I won't set foot in a certain HFS in my city. The HFS I DO go to is like my home away from home, as I buy virtually 100% of my food and my pets' food there. But the other one? Fuggedaboutit! It is stacked to the rafters with militant vegans just waiting to POUNCE!!!!! There are few things in this world more intimidating and volatile than a militant, protein-starved, lectin-ravaged vegan, especially of the O variety. |

Meat makes me anxious...even though I have to feed it to my sons.. I'm always worried about the freshness if it's "safe" (mad cow) . |

I’m a B; if I’m anxious I go for the red meat. My A co-worker says he goes for the turkey. Beef makes him worse while turkey doesn’t do the trick for me. I never tried just looking at a picture of a turkey. |

i know the best way to make me rage is to leave me with out meat for a few hours. i remember haveing screaming fights in the car with my ex while shopping. we would both be arguing at the top of our lungs when one or the other of us would suddenly yell "i'm Hungry! look a restruraunt! pull over!" depending on how obstnant the other person was being we might pass a few before giving in. we would eat, and we would calm down, and we would smile and contenue shopping as if nothing had happened. |

The people on this board would have been hilarious in that study. I can just see Mayflowers getting those picture cards of the steak and asking the lab assistants about their blood type and blowing the whole experiment with a discussion about meat. |
