I had mentioned on another thread about the albumin reading on a blood test.
When I had 3 tests in a row (2000-2002), the reading was 3.6, considered normal at that time.
About that time, I heard a radio program that says that the albumin count is an indicator of health/longevity & that we should try to get it higher, even up to 5.4.
Now when I had this latest blood test in January, the result was 4.8 & the range was considered up to 5.1. I don't really know what the albumin is in the blood & what it does, but does Dr. D have any info about this? The fact that it got so high after being on the BTD these years speaks volumes to me even tho my cholesterol was over 200 the first time ever(known by test) & my BP was higher(very nervous).
[I went & looked at the results after I typed the above & notice the range is 3.6-5.1. I am sure it was lower than 3.6 the other years. Maybe the medical establishment has done more research since then. I know I was still eating wheat at that time, so that must have been a factor, even tho I felt healthy.]
