I've been researching ways to off load excess iron since I have Hemochromotosis and came across this interesting article that says we all need to off-load excess iron after a certain age. Very interesting:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/2002/02/bill-sardi/blood-and-iron/

One of the things it talks about is IP6 which my husband has been taking for several years now.  I have avoided it since Dr. D does not talk about it anywhere but possibly because of my Hemochromotosis, I will start taking it.

Thoughts?

Thanks Lola.. have read all of those and done research for years.  In my recent research, like the article says for any one with high iron, IP6 seems to be helping

As well Saunas seem to sweat heavy metals out of the body.

yes that's what I've heard but i think I remember someone on this board years ago saying in a nutshell that it was good for nothing.. like a placebo of sorts.  I can't remember the exact wording that was used but my husband decided to keep taking it regardless and now I'm thinking of starting because if it helps my iron overload... that would be great.  My 'one vein' where I have had my blood drawn for years is tired!     And they don't like to use any other vein because my veins are small... so taking this and getting a sauna going again - I hope helps.
