I got these results on Tuesday. Total T: 483 ng/dL Free T: 4.98 ng/dL [49.8 pg/mL] Bioavailable T: 100.3 ng/dL Albumin: 4.4 g/dL SHBG: 45 nmol/L (I haven't found optimal numbers for "bioavailable", but the Quest reference range is 110-575 ng/dL.) I found some information on optimal levels for different ages here. According to this site, I have the total T levels of 75-84 year old men, and free T levels that are low-normal for 85-100 year old men. What can I do about this??? |

there are several different approaches, I'd suggest tribulus terrestris or Damiana, dito L'arginin, zink, cordyceps,Ginseng and Muira Puama, next add B-complex & Chrysin and magnesium- you also can implement some Maca ..... wish you quickest recovery .... sorry for my impertinence in asking... might that be related to your treatment with chemical bombs I'd look about interactions of natural testosterone boosters then... |

I had this issue a while ago and the ND put me on DHEA. He said it's a precursor to testosterone. But he also said you need to be very very careful with it. I know another guy that felt better when supplementing it too. I only took it for like a month, and that was that.
Hope you get it figured out. |

I started taking it on Friday. It already seems to be helping, but it's too soon to know if this is just placebo effect. I suspect not. I took it Friday morning and was noticeably in better mood and of clearer mind by the afternoon. I even felt like jogging a little that evening, which hasn't happened since... I can't even remember. Muscle tone is better, too. Unfortunately, I've been very sore from the jog today, even though it was only one lap around a practice field at a school (maybe 2 soccer fields in size?).

I doesn't convert into testesterone. It's a weight loss product. |

An ND put me on DHEA several months ago. All my hormones are low too. I definitely feel better taking it, and I had to work up more slowly than recommended because it was keeping me up at night. I was wired and couldn't sleep. |

Any kind of heavy resistance training does, also. More muscle makes more testosterone, which makes more muscle... while adipose tissue increases estrogen. I don't think my lower back will ever have the "second silver age of health" I'd need to do martial arts without frequent (re)injuries. |

You can do some but maybe not all-- slow and steady wins the race. I do yoga and I still can't touch my toes after 3 years-- but I am patient and persistent careful not to injure myself and work within my limits. |

Plastics are full of xenoestrogens, and high estrogen in men can possibly inhibit testosterone production(?), so now I think it's time to start replacing my plastic food and beverage containers with glass ones. |

We did that. Although lately I've been drinking out of plastic bottle. AAAAAHH!!! Gotta get back to drinking water from glass or the BPA free bottles. |

I occasionally buy individual servings of iced tea in glass bottles (usually giving the tea to my kids as a special treat.) Then I wash out the bottles and re-use for water. They fit nicely in my car's cup holder and in a pocket of my purse.
This is WAY cheaper than buying bottles intended for use as re-usable water bottles. |

I think I'm going to try supplementing with pregnenolone in addition to, or instead of, DHEA, at some point. That will help with ALL the hormone issues. Check out this chart showing the adrenal hormone cascade: Going back to the xenoestrogens issue, I wonder if it would help more to move away personal care products containing them (which absorb into the skin) or from food containers with them (which you ingest). It's too much trouble to do both at once. |

Why is it too much trouble to do both at once? Personal care products are researched once, then you just keep on using them. Food containers you buy once, but then you have to wash out and re-use and you have to completely stop using the old ones for it to matter.
Hmm. I'd say to go for the personal care products first, while slowly building up a supply of safer food storage containers. |

Do moderate exercise like walking or easy paced cycling. Qigong exercises can greatly increase and balance testostrone and other hormones too. Prolonged endurance activity actually lowers testosterone.
Stretching that gets blood flow to the groin will help too, like the butterfly stretch or just sitting indian style a lot.
Also, power exercises like lifting or using a punching bag can really help. If using a punching bag, hit lightly at first with a good form until you get used to it. If your back is injured start very slow and easy.
If you use a punching bag, punch with the outer three knuckles, and not the two closest to your thumb to avoid wrist damage. Some schools actually teach using the first two knuckles as a striking surface and they always are complaining about their wrists, a good teacher will suggest using the outer three knuckles as a closed fist striking surface.
Very slow movements going into the bag to get the mechanics right is good if you want to be careful with your back, the punch should start at the feet and go up the legs through the back and out the hand, and going slow helps you get the feel for it. |

These directions are very clear and helpful. |
