Does anyone here have or know of posterior vitreous detachment? Friday evening I suddenly had three large clear circles in my left eye. That went on all weekend. By Monday I had some flashing lights in the upper left part of the same eye. I went to the eye doctor, who did several tests, and said my vitreous gel is becomming detatched from the retina, causing those symptome. He gave me some literature on the subject and I have to go back in ten days for another exam. The lit says there is no medical treatment currently, (unless the retina tears), and that 75% of people age 65 and older are affected, and that after a while (several months) you get used to the "floaters". But I went to a hfs today and bought a supplement that contains bilberry, lutein, zeaxanthin, and certain vitamins supposidly good for the eyes. I wonder if that will keep it from getting worse and protect the other eye. Any thoughts?

I've had floaters since my teens, one neat trick, when a floater gets in line with your vision. Quickly look right than left several times and as fast as you can, this will move the floater to the side and out of line from your center of vision. Of Course my floaters are small. I also was told that floaters are common and I haven't given them any thought.
Have you tried palming? I would do it often. The eyes reflect the health status of the organism. Whole, fresh, raw organic foods, plenty of rest, exercise, sunlight, fresh air & keeping stress levels down will all promote eye & overall health.
