Hi All,

I am interested in testimonials or other first-hand experience regarding improvement of brain function due to changing diet to comply with either BTD or GTD.

I am well aware that doing both has really helped me. I am especially interested in improvement in memory (both long- and short-term), mood, fatigue (as it impacts nervous system function and performance), mental and physical endurance (or lack thereof!), and any other applicable issues which you are aware of and I haven't listed.

I am also interested in your experience with herbs and other supplementation, especially ones recommended for your BT or GT.

While I am interested for myself, I also am doing research for friends and family who are teetering on the edge of trying the diets. Several folks I am close to (mostly type O and B) are struggling with these issues.

Thanks

Bekki

Your name said it all to me.. its in the attitude.. its in the Small changes.. it's in the ability to recoup.. food helps.. coffee for some helps.. ice ream helps .. spicy foods help drinking more water helps.. the body is a phenomenal instrument.. It takes what it needs and discards the rest.. sometimes violently sometimes it just does.. Trehalose as a sugar replacement is a good think for everyone and they might even benefit from it and Feel it..

Other than that ... diet is a  a long process.. for me the belly ache went away when I was fist diagnosed 30 years ago as sensitive to milk.. I was cured as soon as I read the new instructions forbidding milk- I hated any way-- I CAN have cream!

I was cured when for peeling fingers I was prescribed coltarcream on old remedy so much superior to the modern day stuff including x-ray treatment that did not work..

I was better when I stopped coffee I still miss it but I can drive slower by 5 miles a cup ..

I do not like green tea.. no matter which one.. so no go..

meat I love.. now I eat it without PROHIBITION by those who don't know what they are talking about.. At least now they no longer say much as they have seem me do it for over 30 years.. starting with Atkins a long time ago.. I know I was right..

I eat fruit and leave all the other stuff.. no rice, fall as sleep, no beans - don't need the bloat - I love walnuts but cashews kill me ..

chocolate 90% is good now.. I got used to it..  could not deal with the socalled coffee substitutes they taste like grains.. yak.. if I ate grains it would be in FRESH baked bread but that is long gone out of my diet,..

so you see it is tricky.. the only thing that works is IF THE other person READS the book and decides: YES .. I tried to convince many - no go- people are stubbotrn...  a waste of time to encourage them.. to many temptations and to many ideas floating around .. just heal yourself.. that will be best for All..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

When following the diet correctly, my mood improves.  Meat calms me down.  I also have more energy and want to work out.

The link is correct...  Did you click the > button in the video window?  It is the Play button to start the program.

But now another question.. is it only talking, not ongoing video streaming..?

Yes, this is an audio presentation with only one picture...

I'm pretty sure that you have heard this before, but it is good to listen to again...

When I started BTD back in 2006 I had trouble focusing and concentrating on anything. I also wrote down a lot because otherwise I would forget. I think brainfog is the best way to describe it. If I had to compare the way I thought to anything I would say it felt like dragging my body through thick mud... It was hard.

Within two weeks the fog had cleared and I no longer had the constant headache. It was mayor improvement from the beginning and I think that to this day things are still improving (although not as dramatically as in those first few weeks).

I was mentally non functioning in my teens & 20s as a vegan. Although bright & in advanced classes I  did not do well in college especially socially, had frequent depression & had to go to therapy.  In my late 20s wound up on anti depressants which caused a bi polar flip.  Right around 30 I found the books & started eating a lot of eggs & fish.  Added red meat back 6 years ago & today have no depression & seem to be a totally different person than I was when I was younger.

I used to write piles of notes to help me remember everything!! I don't buy nearly as much note paper as I used to - a huge change in that...
