A dentist talked me into the gas deal when I was about 18 and it was AWFUL! Thankfully, it didn't take long for me to recover. Never again have I had any of that, though! What REALLY bothers me is epinephrine. So they have to give me Novocain without it if I ever need it. Which is very, very seldom. |

I can't do lidocain...they have a red flag on my chart. It made my heart and whole nervous system shake and rev up. I thought that I was going to bust open and fly off somewhere. Called my naturopath who had me take massive doses of calcium-magnesium. My Explorer A friend had the exact same thing happen, same dentist, same help from naturopath. Are you doing this for medication or food as well? If so, with the food, do you have to eat things that you would not normally to have it in your system? |

Dianne, I am astonished... both products are the only form of anaesthetica I can support...all the rest might it be that there was a sort of mingeling and some noradrenalin at least ... if so I'd understood your reactions.... and would you please explain your last question I don't understand it well the true meanings... thank you in advance |

Isa, is this to test medicaments only or are you testing foods as well? Do you have to ingest medicaments to do this; how is this test performed? |

ahha... as I mentioned it, I'm going for the whole program .... meds, foods descendency/Heritage, and of course health challanges like prob. diseases etc... and the test is done by taking DNA of the bucale mucosa. I thought it was forbidden here in Switzerland (coz only if ther's any criminal things happening, police was allowed to take this tests) but now it seems they are free for use.... I'm a bit afraid to get to know about the diseases... but if so honestly better to know and go for preventions .... |

today I spoke with an ARh+ male in our Ticinese area and he told me that he got back his test from saliva-blood and '?) whatever... ok now he told me that in the salivatest he's recognized as a non-secretor but Lewis bloodtest he's an A-B+ = secretor.... ..... and of MM-type genetical-make-up. Ok now how it comes that the saliva test might be that inaccurate Does it means that normally all of our nonnies should obligatory do the Lewis-test to be sure that this parameter is correctly done or better said can be held for veridique That confused me... but ok I'm soon going for the tests and can tell you more about this experience. When I do test people onto nutritional intolerances with my bioresonance tester... I always get the same results......how it comes that it differs between salivatest and bloodtest !!! |

Isa, have you done the Lewis test yourself? I stated in an earlier post that my saliva test and Lewis test both show nonnie, so not all are inaccurate, but I, too, would be concerned if everyone keeps coming up as a nonnie. Good luck pursuing this. |

ladies next time you've to visit a dentist ask please for noradrenaline and adrenaline free injections...there are some older recipes and they work phantastically but ok we need more of that stuff coz it doesn't held on as the others...
Novacaine alone doesn't bother me at all. But the epinephrine is AWFUL!! However, Novacaine alone doesn't deliver as lasting effect as it does with the two together, so I have occasionally had to have another small shot of Novacaine for them to finish the job. That has been a LONG time ago, though. The last filling was very small, and I didn't need anything. I can't even remember the filling before that one! Years and years ago. |

So my genotype is or G/G..whatever this will mean..and*combination*
G = Guanine Since you have G/G you have a Guanine on both copies of the chromosome at a specific position. |

yup so it is and thank you for your kind reply C_sharp... but there are a lot more genotypes on those results...but I didn't understood how it was meant: and combination ... ...all is held that vaguement and for me the most intriguing is, they try to make me believe that I can have allopathic medication in normal amounts but my own experiences showed me... this is literally not possible.... so far I feared that this test is as questionable, as other so called parameters might be;.....perhaps do I have to choose or better said staying with my own systems and not mixing them with others But ok I was that curieuse and now feel trapped into my own coz what is right or wrong right now and what can I trust ... |

My Genomic testing supplied with a million different values for various SNPs. There are many different ways to analyze this data, but looking at random values on the genome and finding a value at some point of G/G is not usually productive, unless you had a particular reason to look there first. I recommend using a computer program to do the analysis for you. I use Promethease since it is easy and quick. http://www.snpedia.com/index.php/PrometheaseBut depending on your goals you may want to use some other program. Nearly anyone you pay for testing will supply some analysis of their results. |

I think one of my best ideas in the last few months was to listen to a friend of mine in Ticino who recommended me this book: Progress in Molecular Biology and translational science Vol 108 recent advances in nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics from C.Bouchard and J. Ordovas |

This made me laugh!!! The dentist story. I almost had them do it once to me but within the first minute of it I was like, forget that news, take it off. It just made me super lightheaded and all wrong. When I went to mayo clinic two years ago, I had my Detoxigenomic test with me and showed them my polymorphisms in my detox system. They knew what CYP3A4 was down there. Plus the other stuff. So they gave me an IV of some "milder stuff" that wore off a lot quicker for my endoscopy/colonoscopy. But man was I thankful for having that info. Because I'm sure if they gave me the normal stuff, I would have been a lot longer getting out of the funk. I hope you get the answers you're looking for Amazone. And I hope you feel better soon!!!!! |

Isa, I might be able to shed some light. Does your test show polymorphism's in your Cythochrome system? Did they test Glutathione?, SOD?, there are a couple of other detox systems enzymes. I would say if you have some polymorphisms in your CYP stuff, you lean towards explorer, although I'm sure all of us are not perfect. Did you have any that said "ABSENT"? My glutathione S transferase in my liver and kidneys said that. But not in brain or lungs, I think it is. I can pull my old test out and look at all the different listings. And if you tell me which ones had discrepancies, I can maybe help you with what it means. But yeah, my test had all the drugs at the end of it with inhibitor/inducer on it too. I have a lot of stuff that I should stay away from. . Explorer/Nomad. No doubt. And I'm a secretor. But what's this about not trusting your secretor status. I'm sure you're fine. Don't worry, I would imagine it's all good and you've done your best to know your status. Can't make everything perfect. And even trusting your intuition. I thought I was a nonnie for sure with my problems, but lyme disease explains it. If you feel that you're a nonnie and the tests showed it, just trust it. Why do we need to second guess that? |

From what I can tell, you know more than I do though. Sounds like you're all good. I don't understand the "pass" thing. My tests just showed the areas where my detox system didn't work well. Had nothing to do with pass or fail. I FAIL if I take too many drugs. It's just that simple. Hehehhe |

Interesting. My tests just showed the polymorphisms and what ones are not optimal. And the inducer/inhibitor lists. It never said if I pass or fail as far as taking meds. Unless I just don't remember it. I know the consensus was that many drugs are just not good for me. And to minimize them. And I was already realizing this with how I was affected by them.
I do have to interject something though. I think we need to be careful about how our minds take in this information. I'm getting better, but having the info has made me very skiddish in the environments I'm in and I have to be real careful not to "stress" about an imperfectly clean environment. And stressing about it doesn't help it. Having said that, I can tell that I don't like walking into buildings that smell like gas, or chemicals. And I try to minimize my exposure. The place I bought my Garden Tractor at just wreaks with gas and rubber and who knows what else as soon as you walk in. I don't know how the guys working there don't walk around lightheaded all day long. So I try to avoid going in there. Some stores have a pretty stiff smell too. Like lowes and Home Depot. And I'll go in those places now, but I don't hang out too long. But I am learning to at least go there, and not freak, and just let the affects pass.
Anyways.... I'm rambling.
As far as eating goes, I try to stay pretty pure with my foods, but there's no I can do that 100%. I won't say it's impossible, but I don't have the time, energy, finances and space to grow everything I eat. |
