I was given Vital Nutrients Heartburn Tx to take WITH the parasite purge from my ND. It contains shellfish. I mentioned to him that since I have type B blood, I should not take it. Am I correct? Please see the ingredients: http://www.vitalnutrients.net/Order/Product.aspx?ID=72. I have not opened it - I think I can return it.
Please help!

I have no idea, except I seemed to react to some glucosamine derived from shellfish...I know I am not a B but thought it was worth adding... You should be able to return it if you need to... Even without a receipt, most places can look back in their computer & reprint a receipt if you know the date you bought it

forget parasite purges.......all these do is disrupt and devastate your ecosystem
follow your guidelines, heal your gut, softly and elegantly
don t forget Parasites have blood types too!

Dr D 'parasite cleanse' I hate to tell you this, but that 'parasite cleanse' probably just screwed up your digestive system's ecobalance, which is a shame since ER4YT is a program that elegantly, if laboriously and slowly, builds it up. Please, before you do a parasite cleanse, or whatever, run basic conventional tests, like ova and parasites, to determine if you really have the problem. Anyway, think about using the probiotic for your blood type, and perhaps the amino sugar NAG (n-actylated glucosamine) to begin to repair some of the damage.

The product contains two ingredients that frequently are derived from shellfish: glucosamine and glutamine. (glycine could also be derived from shellfish, but there are easier sources)
If you are allergic to shellfish or avoid shellfish for religious regions you should not take this product.
Both glucosamine and glutamine can be derived from other sources.
The other common source for glucosamine is usually corn.
I am not sure why shellfish are rated low for you. If it is the chitin, the glucosamine is probably not very good for you.
The supplement N-Acetyl-Glucosamine is recommended for type Bs to use even though the supplement is usually derived from shellfish.

It states that it is derived from shrimp, lobster, and other shellfish.

Are you the same person who posted this question on the facebook page?
If so, then I think it would be helpful to add any relevent information (such as whether or not you've had lab tests to verify that you do indeed have parasites right now.)

Sure. Taking it on an empty stomach will concentrate the anti-fungal fatty acids. It'll be more effective that way.
Thanks Mark!
I just seriously started taking it today. I am sure it will be fantastic. I am starting the yeast protocol on January 2nd, as that is when I am back from vacation. This way, I will be mentally prepared for no wine or beer. Sadly, these seem to be the ONLY things I am not looking forward to omitting.

I don't see a need to eliminate beer if you are Nomad. Enjoy beer everyday.
Dr. D says it's fine.
Funny story Mark...
When I was in Spain three years ago, I drank beer everyday (this is actually where I began my "love affair" with it) - roughly 12 ounces with lunch and dinner. I had very little wine. My diet pretty much stayed the same (whole foods, no snacks, etc.) and my lifestyle as well (no gym though.) I lost about eight pounds in ten days. I attribute it to the Pilsner beer I was drinking. Even before I started this way of life, I returned and my close friend was amazed at how streamlined I looked, as well as healthy. My bags under the eyes were completely gone. I was sleeping so well, which I never do. Hops has that affect on people. I felt great too.
I stick to Pilsner because it is made from hops and does not have any avoids or the demon child Gluten. I buy from a few brands.
Anyhow, that was a long-winded story for one little suggestion. I sincerely feel like beer makes me a better running machine. The wine, probably not so much. I feel like beer is a broom for my insides. Does that make sense?
Thanks Mark,
Melissa

Beer - pilsner is full of rubbish these days, I used to get the Pilsner urqhell (from th original source) from Czechoslovakia, nice but not good for you.....
The Spanish beer is terrible by the way - not what it used to be. which one did you drink and where, Love Spain.
remember
F – Fermentable
O – Oligosaccharides (kinds of sugars) in foods such as cereals, bread, biscuits, cakes, pasta
D – Disaccharides (lactose), for example, dairy foods
M – Monosaccharides (fructose) in fruit juice, honey, peas, jams, snack bars
A – and...
P – Polyols (sugar alcohols) found in fruits with stones and some vegetables, such as onions and leeks. Also found in artificial sweeteners and sugar-free gum
Kind Regards PC.

I would hold off on the beer until the candida is under control. While beer is a superfood or diamond for Nomads (including me - YAY!), the sugar content from the alcohol will only feed the candida. Once your candida is under control, by all means... enjoy enjoy and drink away!

Is this what NOT to consume?
I was drinking a Pilsner from Germany - cannot recall the name. I drank Estrella at the pubs.

BEER a super food??? My mom went to Egypt with 23 others.. she drank beer all day, while others drank bottled water and ice cream.. MOM was the only one NOT to get bug infections.. she was 20 years older then the others..
heal your gut and the body will take care of you.. But in my way of thinking, there is a need to get rid of as much debree as soon as possible, so complete elimination is important for everyone, but when detoxing then enemas to help it along is a good thing.. keeping the pipes clean and moving stuff out ... see DR. Bernard Jensen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Jensen .. if interested get his cheapest book on colon cleanses for about 7.- to 9.-

Goldie, while beer is an "avoid" for us Gatherers, it is indeed a superfood for Nomads. It may or may not be appropriate during a parasite cleanse, but it definitely is a superfood for some individuals.
I'm somewhat familiar with the low-FODMAP diet, and I understand that it's extremely helpful for some individuals. I'm not sure that it's necessary for Melissa right now though.
Melissa- do you have a SWAMI? If so, then put in all your current health issues, especially the parasites. See what SWAMI says about foods such as beer and high-FODMAP foods such as onions, fruits, grains, etc. Stick to the reccomended foods and the recomended portion sizes, and don't worry about another kind of dietary restriction (such as low-FODMAP) unless you truly see a need for it; if SWAMI foods in SWAMI portions aren't doing enough for you.

Indeed MOM was B Type.. She was so smart.. she ate mushrooms by the bundle.. used to find her own out doors.. and her fav fruit where apples, 8-10 all night- only the stem's survived.Worked hard and on weekends collected wild flowers to plant in her garden for looks, slept long and hard, and liked a man who paid attention she being the boss.. .. She survived 5 cancers.. the last one was the end only because they could not operate easy.. who knows what she might have survived.. but she had a good run to 91.. no complaints.. Beer for B's in foreign places.. and mushrooms..that is the winning combo for B's... I loved making this post in memory..

Yes - I have done SWAMI. There is no space allowed for parasites. (
I am just going to follow the diet and see what happens. At some point in everyone's life, they have been exposed to the parasite that was detected in my stool sample. It is commonly found in tap water and is usually transient. While I am not trying to be a naysayer, there is a slight chance that this is from water ingested that morning (although it did detect a protozoa that is not commonly found in humans, which I may have eaten off of produce - I do not really wash it unless it has dirt on it - organic, of course.)
