I kinda tried it, only with salt. It was horrible, and I only did it once. But it did give me the idea (in a very roundabout way) to get rid of the toothpaste. That did indeed help with the mucus. I still feel crummy but I can breathe easier.
On the topic of the thread, I got out of bed at the crack of noon today. Obviously I've made a lot of progress...
You aren't supposed to swallow the sugar, just swish it around for a minute or two after it's all dissolved and spit it out.
Yeah, duh, I know that... but just like you can ingest fluoride & other nasties from regular toothpaste, you must ingest some of the sugar??!! You just would not be able to help it - since sugar dissolves in fluid...
Seriously... I have a west-facing window, and I have SAD, and I have no job or school or any other external pressure to get up and about by a certain time. You do the math. At least I realized this today and took down my blackout curtains. I'll just use my sleep mask until the days get longer again. That should be a start... as I write this at 1:30 am!
