For most of this year I have experienced an aching in the kidney area which comes and goes. Earlier this year I talked DH into getting a new bed thinking I just had a bad back from sleeping. We did buy one but no help there Working in a Chinese health care facility, I brought the subject up and was given some herbs to cleanse the kidneys - Polyporus Combination (Zhu Ling Tang) but this flushed out a bladder infection which made me rush to the Doc's & had to go onto antibiotics. A few days later and a phone call from the Doc said the antibiotics would not help the infection and had to start a different strain. Now I've just had a CT scan and will not get the results till next week and am now worrying.... Being a nonnie and Celiac has made me ignore a lot of abdominal pain over the years with mental notes to check back on eating habits from time to time.... Has anyone else had these type of symptoms? Any ideas? Any response would be appreciated |

you say the bladder got infected or washed out on infection?/ your post is not clear..
The question is, why did your bladder act up? There is a reason for something, and something usually starts higher up.
I would not so much worry about some thing coming up in the kidneys, but I would adhere to the diet word for word on Super and Beneficials for all the days until you hear and see if you will not feel better. I see the super /diamond foods as medicine and beneficials as not damaging.. so for a while be vigilant and reduce neutrals.
As for worry, well my opinion: You have done what needed to be done, so, now relax.. worry can set in other issues.. Kidney issues might be associated with Terror.. so look there for physical settled in pain, triggered by an emotional event that might not be resolved. Such pain can hang in there for a long time and will not show up on any test. They can be resolved but not with conventional therapy. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Sorry I should have been clearer....the flushing out of the kidneys caused a bladder infection which has been treated with antibiotics. This tells me that there was an ongoing infection over time in the kidneys which has now been killed....for the moment. The problem is that there is still aching. I've never had any kidney issues before this year and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this sort of symptom or other nonnies having ongoing little bugs living in their body causing mischief!!! |

Yes, yes and yes. I've lived with stones and chronic kidney pain and having traces of blood in my urine frequently. It's no fun. I have a lot of ideas as to what the cause of mine is, but it may be different for you.
From what I understand, yellow and orange foods will help the kidneys. And yes lemons if you can do them. Of course cranberries too. And any food that might be a "clearing" type food. I think raspberries are one of those. I have also taken a supplement called renatrophin by standard process that helps build the kidneys and support. The standard process stuff seems to work pretty well for organs. I take one for spleen too and other organs over the years.
Your system is probably working hard to filter out unwanted substances. At least, that's what it was for me. At one point heavy metals. Other times just junk, maybe mycotoxins from food, mold in the air. Mine always seems to be worse in the spring and fall when it's damp and there's more junk in the air.
Having said that, I also agree with Goldie. I recently have figured out I've been dealing with insecurity, Anxiety and fear and lack of love possibly and I think it has an impact on my kidneys also. It's a double edged sword. I know for sure there are times when the symptoms are caused by physical problems. But I also think my anxiety and fears just prolong and possibly make worse the problem.
I'm not a doctor, I'm not a shrink and I'm not judging. All I'm doing is giving my perspective. For what it's worth, I've had as many as 7 stones at one time in there. I don't have that many any longer. I think the whole package of emotional, spirituial, mental and physical have had an impact on those two little gems that filter out my bodies toxins.
Hope that helps. |

A thought -- it may not be a matter of needing to 'cleanse' the kidney. From a standpoint of chinese medicine, a kidney yin deficiency can contribute to aching kidneys and lower back. |

Thank you all for your help Onto my second repeat of the second antibiotics and yes the aching is finally less and going. I still have soreness which I think is inflammation. The Doc has gone away for a few days so I will see her next week to discuss. Thanks for the reminder of the liver cleanse Lola Victoria, is the Zhu Ling Tang a builder of Yin? Have been told that having a lot of babies can make you Yin deficient and that the kidneys are the first to be affected. The question now is why has my body not fought an infection in the kidney? How can I prevent it recurring? Does this mean that I am not a reactor but a tolerator of the environment? |

Maybe this is too late, but a few years ago, I read that if you want to cleanse the kidneys, clean the bladder first. If there is anything there, that stress is relieved & also the bladder would be stronger to take care of the onslaught of toxins coming out. If there is a protocol for both, I'm sure that would work. I don't usually have time to read many threads, but glad I took a look at this one. That Lyme's disease is sure a burden for my BTD buddies! Take care. At least you all have figured it out! That might have to be Dr. D's next topic to tackle as far as healing methods. |

My guess is that you're filtering out something, and your systems are just overwhelmed with it. If you're a nonnie, I'm thinking you have some explorer in you???? Have you done GTD/ Swami? Oh, duh. I see it says explorer. Maybe check your environment??? I don't know. It's so hard to know what could be causing an explorers system too overload. I guess that's why Lola said to cleanse the liver as it will just aid in overall efficacy of the clearing systems. I would imagine. |

I just went through some awful kidney (area) pain from my lower ribs being out of place. If nothing else, see a chiropractor who knows ribs. |

Do you consume any thyme? Do you get magnesium in your diet? How much vitamin C do you get? Magnesium is very important to not build up calcium. I Am sure there are some compliant sources for you to eat. Bromelian for inflammation should help with pain. There are several things you could take, an important one being Deflect, for nonnies. |

I've been having similar. I know I should avoid yeast in bread, but I indulged over Thanksgiving and I think my body is probably now trying to cleanse. Also been worrying about elderly parents so that connection is there too. good pointers from everyone. Lin |
