JJR....I hope you find some answers.

Was interested in your burning sensation...because this strange thing happens to me when my
body temperature starts to rise...I noticed it when being in a sauna or steam shower....as if I had
a horrible sunburn, my head pounding and my heart rate feeling like it was speeding..

This is interesting....anxiety!  Makes sense to me given I'm very uncomfortable in warm weather...
much happier when body temperature stays constant...The fact that I had all three of your symptoms,
but did have chronic Lyme for years, I'm not sure whether this is a Lyme symptom or something else.

but see what you think....

Thank you both.  I think I need to view each doctor like another tool in the kit.  Because I don't think we'll stop going to or using the current one, but I think for my particular situation, something more feels needed.

Let me think of what I've used over the last few years lin:

AB probiotic, healthy start by....  I forget who, primal defense by that Jordan Rubin's company, some cultured cod liver oil, manuke honey which I think is fermented, and lots of cultured veggies I made myself, using Donna Gate's culture starters.  All of which I think helped my guts.  But definitely had to take a little at a time and then stop from detox symptoms.  The main symptoms are headaches, high heart rate and I feel like I have a horrible sunburn.  Like it goes down into my whole body.  Basically, inflammation I guess.  I always would say to my wife, MY skin is on FIRE!!!!

I guess my next step is to probably set up an appointment with my old ND.  Ch ch ch changes....
I wonder if your probiotic bacteria really are escaping from your gut into circulation...

Chloe, thank you.  I hear you on the link.  But that is different.  I do get a tingling and burning sensation after being very anxious.  I think it's high levels of cortisol.  I understand that and get it.  But, the burning I get after taking probiotics is like 50 times worse, and both have happened enough to me to know the difference.

TJ, could be.  My sister, whenever she takes probiotics, her skin gets really bad.  She's figured out that those are the trigger.  She gets bad flaky skin on her neck and face and it's uncomfortable for her.  And it doesn't look so it would make anyone self conscious.  So she's gotten to the point that she just doesn't want to take them either.  It might be cleaning junk out, but sometimes the process is painful.  But then there is always the lingering thought like, is this really a good thing?  Which is the thought I struggle with after taking probiotics.  I do have to say though I'm pretty sure they all helped my gut to be better.  But it's a fine line to walk.

If this is happening, you need to be taking Intrinsa and using a lot of ghee to heal the leaks in your intestines...

I've taken intrinsa in the past quite a bit.  May need more.  I don't know.  I'm not willing to order another test to see if that's what it is.  I think my gut is a whole lot healthier than it was 5 years ago.  But I'm pretty sure at one point I did have leaky gut.

This is a great film mostly about Babesia. It's an interview with Dr. Horowitz who is an expert on Lyme disease. It's very long, but I found it very interesting and helpful.

I have to share with you all because I'm excited. I saw my ND (someone I haven't seen in a while but used to a long time ago who helped quite a bit) today and feel like it was a very good thing.

First off, his machine confirmed that I indeed have lyme. And it does have an affect on me. He said, I have two other co infections that have a more significant affect that need to be dealt with. Which are ehrlichia and rickettsia.

The first one makes perfect sense as my Uncle was diagnosed with ehrlichia a few years back, and his house is where I'm pretty sure I got the tick bite from. He's "Up North". (Northern Wisconsin, lots of woods and he lives on a lake with woods) We had gone camping there a few times and I used to deer hunt with them all the time.

The second, rickettsia, is I guess "Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever". He said it's rare, but he's seen it in others around here. He says some will say it shouldn't be here, but whatever.

Babesia is there, but not as significant as the other three. But one thing he said that seems to be coming up as even a more significant problem on my health is radiation. He said I need to start clearing that too. His numbers show it as the most accute thing and the most significant thing.

So, he gave me a homeopath for the lyme, a homeopath for my thyroid that will help clear the radiation. And also he wants me to get Dulse by "Bernard Jensen" and Nepro-rella or Sun Chlorella. That helps clear the radiation.

He said not to worry about if I'm getting radiation now, but it might just be from past things, like the CAT Scans and such and it just haven't left my body. And he says there are other sources it can come from. But start dealing with and see where it goes from there.

He also said that with the numbers I have of the things I got, would explain why a person would not feel good at all and it's good to have uncovered it. I'm pretty excited about that.

So, now I just have to get enough gumption to start taking his supps. But I feel really confident that I'm on a good path now. Praise the LORD. We'll see how it goes. Maybe this will make me feel better.

Also, this ND I saw works 2 days out of my dentists office. But the other three days he's in a place called Fox Valley Wellness Center and works with 2 doctors there. And he said 99 percent of what they do is treat lyme disease. So I think I think I'm probably on the right track of dealing with him.

I don't think that is the case here.  I used to work with this guy and he helped me before.  The supps were not very much money.  And 2 of them I'm supposed to find on my own.  I don't question his motives.  He only sold me 2 small bottles of drops and I don't think they were more than 15 a piece.  Hang on...  Yeah, 30 bucks for the drops.  He's not getting rich on that.

I don't see him like that.  This guy works with a team that specializes in Lyme Disease in our state.

Thank you Ruthie.  This radiation thing has me kind of concerned.  I wonder if I sit with my laptop too much.  I probably shouldn't worry about it.  I've had enough cat scans and x rays that could probably explain it.  He did say it wasn't something he sees very often.  I used to fly a lot too.  Not sure how much but over a dozen times.  Maybe 20?  But some people fly all the time.

But I know my body just doesn't get rid of stuff very well.  It likes to hang onto everything.

Let me think of what I've used over the last few years lin:

The one missing from your list is the probiotic suited to your own blood type.    (just sayin')

I've had some pretty horrible experiences from years of taking several different varieties of probiotics.  My body is extremely sensitive to everything and I think I was making it impossible for my gut to heal by populating it with bacteria that was incompatible with my own body.  Jordan Rubin's Primal Defense is one that I tried.  For 1/2 a bottle, it seemed to really be helping, then it turned against me and I began to hurt all over, especially in my gut.  I went on to buy a second bottle because I thought it was just a cleansing crises and would pass.  By the time I was through with the second bottle, I thought I was dying.  I finally got some Polyflora and it was like night and day.  I have not gone back to any other probiotic in the past decade - this one is so good.  Not that it has healed everything that was wrong in my health, but combined with Intrinsia and ARA6, I have experienced near miraculous healing in my digestive tract.

It was the first one in the list.  I have used it.  But your points are taken.  I can't remember if I had real bad detox with his or not.  I guess that is something to really think about the next time I take them.  Thank you.

Sorry I misread your post.  I thought it was all referring to Primal Defense by Jordin Rubin.

On the last few posts, I think getting the opinion of a new doctor every once in a while is the way to go, but I do not give up my old one.  If I have issues and questions I pass them by him and most often have better understanding after  a discussion held a second time with someone I trust at least to be honest.

On the other hand I would most likely suggest to stay with Dr D GENO type specific sups.. any differentiation that works for me is better than one size fits all.

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Good points Goldie.  I'm not giving up on my current doctor totally.  But I'm trying to wrap my head on how I keep him involved, without it being weird.  I'm planning on taking the supps just prescribed from the ND.  I would love to run it all by my other doctor, but I am concerned about it being a conflict.  But I might just give them a heads up to let them know.  I actually work with the assistant at my previous doctors more than the doctor himself.  And I've been debating on if I should let her know what I'm doing.  Because I'm still taking a few supps they prescribed.  But they are more like maintenance.  I'm not sure they would balk at the brand or type of what I will be taking.

As far as staying with Dr. D supps because the rest are one size fits all.  I don't totally agree with that.  A lot of Dr. D supps are not blood type specific.  Or Genotype specific.  And the ones I'm most concerned with right now are for killing lyme.  I know he has one that helps that, what is it called?  Genoma Security?  And I might eventually have to give it a try.  But it is not tailored to ONE specific blood type.  If my memory serves me.  Neither is Intrinsa, ARA6, Proberry, on and on.  So...  I regard his supps as high quality and very good, but they are not the only thing on the market that might help a persons health.  When I do start taking a probiotic again though, I think I will definitely try the AB one first.  Because that does make total sense.

We can't have all of these people getting well.  They won't want to see the Dr. or buy from Big Pharma...  There goes all of that GDP out the window...  Never mind that we'll all be more productive and add to the economy in other ways...  It just won't be in their pockets...

I don't recall if this was discussed already...

On SWAMI, there is the "low-level infections" check box. Unchecked, I'm reactive, Checked, I'm receptive. I'm not sure which to go with. On one hand, chronic Lyme is in that category, and suggests that the immune system needs to be stimulated. But on the other, Lyme also causes very auto-immune behavior, which needs to be toned down to control symptoms.

What are your thoughts about which way to go?
