Hi there. I've had several health problems for years and I've been trying for years to find out what they were and what I can do to fix them.
I recently (a couple of months ago) found out that I have Celiac disease and have been trying hard to live gluten-free which I think I am doing pretty good at so far.
But I also have fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), leaky gut, gastritis, acid reflux (GERD), candida, extreme fatigue, plantar facitis, depression, anxiety, ADHD, itchy ears, bad acne on my back,back and neck problems, and eyes that really itch and hurt a lot.
I have been trying to follow the blood type diet for my type for about a month now and although I've seen a little improvement I still have all the problems listed above and I don't know how to get rid of them (and preferably naturally). I need help! I want to be well. I am currently taking probiotics, digestive enzymes, an anti-depressent, rutagrav for the plantar facitis, vitamin b-12 for energy--has helped some...any ideas? And any ideas on how to follow the serving sizes more easily on the blood type diet? I struggle with that too..

If you have a number of health issues that need to be addressed, you may want to consider a SWAMI diet plan that can be customized so it meets individual needs more than the general blood type diet.

I would suggest that with your health problems, that you start with attempting to heal the gut and see whether one you get the gut healed whether the other problems are reduced.

Many of these problems are related... Continue to follow the blood type diet, change to the Genotype diet, or get the personalized SWAMI diet, whichever is your choice. Any of them is much better than being indiscriminate in your food choices. Please understand that while the healing starts immediately when you stop putting poison in the mouth, all of the damage doesn't heal overnight. you have spent x number of years getting sick, so you are going to spend some time healing... As you say though, you will feel better soon.

You will need some supplements to help your intestinal lining. Taking things that work and are right for you is important. People waste a lot of money on stuff that just is not effective. Somethings can be taken for a few months and stopped, somethings you will need longer like B12. Look at the bottles and tell us what is in them, they may be harming you rather then helping.

Can you explain to me the major differences between the three? And especially between the genotype and the SWAMI diet? To me it seems like the SWAMI might be the best because it takes your genotype and blood type into consideration?

perhaps if you list your vitals like height and weight others will be more specific.
generally abiding by the BTD will help all that you have but it took a while to get to where you are now and it's going to take a while to fix it.
if your coeliac you need to cut out wheat obviously but you also need to cut out similar proteins perhaps,
if you have Candida then you have to cut down big time on sugar, including carbs, fibre etc.

the itchy eye will be too much sugar
that is what is meant by them all being related.
get back to a simple diet, one that your great grandmother would have eaten.
once you do this and cut out the fizzy drinks coffee black tea, then look at how much water you drink, it may be too much also. but do that later.
let green tea be your Friend in the mean time. keep a food diary. and be honest. this is fixable it just needs some determination and some hard work.
do you exercise - if not start walking everywhere when safe to do so, and have a look at something like yoga to focus you.
