A loved one had 2 seizures the other day. I think fatigue brought them on, but would like any advice to never allow them again! They put him on a medication for a month & then will assess him again, planning to get him off these meds eventually. Any advice besides getting more rest? |

In children when celiacs, gluten is a culprit of also seizures according to neurologists, so I'd investigate on wheat and gluten ! |

Mature adult, AB, might have been hit in the head by accident playing sports, but didn't complain about that. No history of seizures; taking some new medication (Keppra)........
Thanks for your help.

One of the conference lectures goes into detail about seizures causes and cures. |

How long ago was the sports injury? Even if it was a long time ago, it could have come back to haunt him now. I assume the doctors are doing tests to try to figure out the cause. Right now they’ll put a band aid on the symptoms. But medicine is a practice after all.
The best thing he has going for him is you. I know you’ll do everything in your power to try and figure this thing out. In the meantime, feed him good AB food. |

Need a seriously good chiro, cranial sacral, or someone to check out that head trauma. I am amazed that people think because they feel fine, nothing happened. The body absorbs that energy and/or there can be structural issues that interfere with nervous system transmission. B12 is also depleted with trauma healing. I think I also heard something the other day about seizures and low D levels. |

The injury was Tuesday night; the seizure Thurday very early! He has been to the ER with all the tests with negative results. They gave him Keppra for 30 days & he will be reevaluated. I assume they will wean him off the drugs soon afterward. |

I was diagnozed with seizure disorder (idiopathic...meaning "no known cause").
I was also a symptomatic but noncompliant celiac. Also drank lots of diet soda and doritos (MSG).
No seizures since I eliminated diet soda and gluten, brought my stress down, got 8 hrs. of sleep a night, eliminated coffee. |
