I am starting to deal with several people that have Cystic Fibrosis. None has directly expressed interest in the diet.  (But I wanted to be prepared in case some do).

Has any one had success in using to BTD or the GenoType diet to deal with issues related to Cystic Fibrosis?

Are their particular settings that one should use in SWAMI Xpress or SWAMI GenoType that should be used when a person has Cystic Fibrosis?

When I was expecting baby #2 one of the routine tests they did was for CF.  I'm a carrier of the gene for the mutation (as is my sister and one cousin, I learned later).  Nobody in the family knows of any instance.....but I wonder if my "mild" asthma and my mom's severe asthma and my older brother's chronic chest mucus was a little bit of that CF rearing its ugly head.

I know that doesn't answer your question, C#, but I thought I'd say it anyway.

http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/conditions/cystic_fibrosis.html

After reading this article makes me think that having a bioimpedance would be helpful which will help with knowing  something about cell health in these individuals.

I also see that they know the gene that is effected, wonder if these people have had genetic testing? That would be good too to know.

FUT2.. nonnies?
