Hi Everyone - I'm new to the program and have a question that I have not seen asked in any of the older posts - It appears every time I begin a vitamin regimen (I started taking Dr. D's recommended vitamins for BT A) I become constipated.  As soon as I stop within a day or two I am fine.  Does anyone else ever experience this?  I was wondering if it was the capsules that are causing my problem and if so, if I emptied them and just took the powder inside it the problem would be eliminated.  Thanks for all of your help and suggestions.

Does it happen when you take other (non BT) vitamins and Rx drugs and OTC meds? These come in capsules, too. That's one experiment.

Does it NOT happen when you take vitamins that are in tablet form? That's another experiment.

These two are a start. They'll put you in a better position to answer your question.

It does not happen with Rx drugs (only take one and it's in tablet form) and the only OTC med I have taken is aspirin (very rarely) - does not happen then either.  It has happened when taking other non BT vitamins in capsule form.  I do take vitamin D3 in liquid and have no problem.  Very strange!!!  Thanks for your input.

Well, I've been taking my supps by opening them up lately.  To be honest, I don't know if it's helping, but I think it gets assimilated easier and faster.  You could try it and see if it works.  Maybe your super sensitive to gelatin.  I think it is an avoid for A's.

If you try it and it works, voila.  Problem solved.  If not, plan B.

Thank you for your suggestions.  I will try taking the vitamins by opening them up and see if that works.  I also have the saliva test kit which I will send in to see if I am a secretor or non secretor and take it from there.  Thanks for your help.
