This reminds me that I haven’ done the Explorer liver cleanse in a long time.

My Uncle had to see his regular doc because they wanted to test his blood to see if they needed to increase medication or anything like that.  He told them what medications he had quit taking and their mouths about dropped open.  They took the test results and told him that he needed to come back next week because the tests had malfunctioned!  They said that it had to be something wrong with the testing because there's no way that changing his diet could have corrected so many problems!  Hilarious!  

A nurse took him aside and said, "Off the record, there's nothing wrong with your test results and I want the name and number of that Clinic you're going to!"

Wow!!!!!  This is such wonderful news and thank you for sharing this.  All my best to you and your family and your dear uncle.

Frankly, I think quality of life is everything.  He is living and feeling good and that is much much more than he would be doing on chemo.  I think there is a time and a place for everything and think it is wonderful he was able to choose how he wanted to handle the situation and then was supported by his loving family.  That is healing in itself.

I found a little bit more about this nurse.  Apparently she's got some kind of issue in which the medical profession says can only be taken care of by surgery.  Thus her reasons for wanting to contact the Clinic.  They don't know what her problem is.

His primary care doctor, whom they've dubbed as Madame Butterfly (not sure why!) copied down all of the supplements he's taking and said, "I'll study on it."
She was pretty mad that he hadn't called and told her he'd changed some things.  Why do these kinds of doctors think they control your life that you have no choice in deciding what you will or won't take?  They act like they own you or something.  
Perhaps some would argue that they could be at risk if something happens to that person.  But the oncologist that my uncle saw, after he was diagnosed with this, said that it was the cholesterol medication that caused this problem in the first place.  It was actually a "slip" of the tongue that she accidentally gave this information.  He wasn't suppose to know and it was my father that she said it to.
So they can get away with doing stuff like that but when you decide to go off a med they suddenly hit the roof as if you're going to make them maybe look bad or something!  Kind of messed up!

That news brought tears to my eyes!!!!

Wonderful isn't it.  Instead of being happy that you found something that is helping, they try to drive you away by being angry or upset that you aren't following their protocol...  

It may also mean $ out of her pocket, if she isn't writing as many prescriptions or having as many office visits...

in their eyes....it doesn t pay to be healthy.....

Their aim is not to cure but to maintain.  Money in both doctor’s and pharmaceuticals if you think treatment is helping but have to stay on it long term even for life if you want to continue feeling OK.

What an amazing testimonial.  It's truly miraculous and brings tears to my eyes.

He went and saw the med doc again to retake those blood tests, or whatever they are, and all of his levels came back fine - again! Even without the meds!  I think they are mostly checking his blood for thinness.  
Anyway, the doc is still upset that whatever he's doing is working and she can't understand it.  She wants him back in two weeks.  She still refuses to believe it!

At this point I'd tell her the office visit is on her. I'd check and make sure your insurance will cover all these repeats on the same test.
