The absolute best colon cleanse I've ever used, is a combination of the following:
1) Deflect, 2) astragalus, 3) rose hips, 4) caprylic acid 5) Polyflora 6) ARA |

That's right... Intrinsa has caprylic acid.
I'd been taking it before, but for the butyric acid. I never noticed it had caprylic, too. |

Victoria,
I don't know what specific part it plays, but I do know that Dr. D lists it under his antibacterial protocol, as a rich source of non-corn-derived vitamin C. |

Thank you Ron and Rex, I sure have like vit. C a lot since I switched away from ascorbic acid a few years ago! It's hard to find a good source that is high in vit C and still blood type compliant. rose hips, acerola cherry, amla, camu . . . |

I use rose hips from the bulk bin at the HFS to make tea with, though not often enough! They have a very good shelf life. |

Rex,
I don't know. I've never used it. I only know that I tend to prefer the idea of ingesting the whole plant, whenever possible.
I have no incontrovertible evidence to support this bias one way or another, but I do it anyway. |

Lola,
Do you know how much vit. C the nature's sunshine has per capsule?. I only found information that there is 560mg of rosehips per capsule, but nothing about actual vitamin c content.
Thanks! Mickey |

Thanks Lola!,
That's a good deal then, considering you get 560mg of vit. c per capsule and the price is good!. Thanks for the info.

I use hot (not boiling) water in the evening, soak a tsp while eating dinner, enjoy as a postprandial about an hour after dinner (spooning the fruit a la' Lola). |

So Rose Hip Tea is best then ? And can be bought from any health food shop around the world. How long should we take it for? Can we over do it? I am only drinking Green tea but will def now start taking Rose Hip too!!. Does eating spicy food cleanse in any way? Like Jalapeño peppers etc? They say they kill tummy cancers? |
