Hey, the humor & humanity in the Liver Flush Thread helped finalize my decision that this was the right place to be, and I have not regretted an instant! Day 4 or 5 - I've lost track - without coffee, toughing it out, and slightly less chocolate, eye circles (and sinuses) still slowly improving. Pulled-teeth area healing up slowly, too. Even feel less bloated. The worst of the dark is gone, now assigning most of the blame to the too-much chocolate & inadequate sleep. Trying hard to improve. Waah. It was so easy to be 100% good the first couple months, til I was well enough to go back to work. Figures the office provides constant bowls of small chocolates, my downfall. I can't believe I'm struggling to quit, or at least drastically cut back, coffee a second time! And I didn't even LIKE it til 6 or so years ago!!!! No fair! And now with the "pressure" of having to look good in front of my family & friends for my first anniversary of BTD! Augh. Feb. 14 has a whole new significance for me I had my candy last year, then went on BTD. The whole world has changed for me and I'm trying hard to help others. My sisterinlaw just had me order the blood test to find out what her mother is so we can get to work on her terrible arthritis pains. It came this week, and I'll do the test on her very soon. I still believe in being able to cheat a little at parties & holidays, I'm keeping my sense of humor, but lately things got out of hand. I was shocked at the force with which the desire for coffee grabbed me. Was not expecting that! Live and learn This thread really took off, didn't it? What a nice surprise

OSuzanna - You are so right it is so much learning!!!
Have been assuming that once I got my diet worked out right that it would be a breeze from there onwards but now the great reality is coming in loud & strong that the MAINTENANCE of this lifestyle is the big challenge and the learning doesn't seem to stop
