Hi everyone! I wonder if any of you have heard of a condition called lethal midline granuloma? My sister has it (as well as MS) and because it is fairly rare the Dr.s don't seem to know what else to do with her. The disease is like a cancer (but it isn't) in that it eats away the body's tissue. My sister develops lesions and has literally had her flesh split open down the center areas of her body (hence the term Midline). Currently she has a large split down her throat and the tissue has eaten away so that it is now about 1/2 inch from her windpipe (very nasty).
Tests have been done - there is no infection in the wound itself (amazingly). I have encouraged her to have her blood typed though I am pretty certain that she is a B like me and my mother (father is O).
One other side note - when we were children the "mosquito man" used to come weekly through our neighborhood and fill the area with pesticide. Of course in those days none of us suspected that it was dangerous and we used to play tag in the "fog". I have felt all along that many of her health problems stem from that time - she would have been only 3-4 years old then. I'm not certain what the spray was but suspect it was DDT.
If anyone knows anything about this terrible disease I would be so grateful! I fear my sister is nearing the end if we can't stop the progression...

Get your sister typed asap; including her secretor status.  Have her follow one of the health series books, like the Allergy book like Lola suggested.  She would probably benefit from taking Ghee and ARA6, and eating only beneficials for a few weeks to start.

Hi k1204,

when confronted by an unknown foe (never heard of it before) .... Lola and KK have some good starting ideas ... to refine this adventure - a) for poisons like DDT you may find the liver protocol helpful.  b) eliminate any persistent-poisons like aspartame ... diet sodas are a good example.  c) Next you may wish the assistance of a few supplements that are famed for ridding the body of chemical toxins .... seaweed and Ecomer from http://www.naturedoc.com .  d) Finally (but not lastly) you MAY have mercury (or other heavy-metal) poisoning from silver teeth amalgams.

these are ideas on how to start, but these are guesses  ....................

Thank you all very much. I have printed the information for her husband (she has lost her eyesight to the disease). I will also strongly encourage her to get the blood type test. I have already discussed this with her and she thinks it may already have been done through one of the hospitals. Also, she does drink a lot of diet soda, though I think it is mostly made with Splenda. The website link you sent me Lola sounds just like my sister! Her face is disfigured already and has already been radiated and filled with chemo (kill you before it cures you).
I will also look into web site for products to get rid of chemical toxins. She does not have any silver fillings - both she and I have both been blessed with great teeth (though she lost them also to the disease), no cavities in our childhood (though I was diagnosed with high levels of mercury by a Dr. , no idea where that came from).
 Anyway, thank you again!

splenda contains maltodextrin which is derived from corn,

sucralose, is an artificial sweetener which is a
chlorinated sucrose derivative
Sucralose is what the brand Splenda uses.........there are better options, like the already mentioned vegetable glycerine, and other.

Hi! Thanks Lola for the info on Splenda. How sad...I'll let my sister know.
One question KimonoKat - what is ARA6? I looked in the library but could not find what it is. Is it a supplement?
 Thanks again everyone!

larch arabinogalactan will act as a fiber to promote the growth of friendly GI bacteria and good overall bowel health. It should also help maintain more balanced immune system function.
