Vitamin C keeps my gums from bleeding. It is necessary for tissue repair. 1000-3000mg a day.

Flossing increases the blood flow so much to my mouth that I have to do it in the morning. My gums throb  - so if I did it at night it would keep me from sleeping.

Anaerobic bacteria (hiding between teeth) are the ones that cause the problems after dental procedures (esp. heart related). Flossing and using mouth wash are a good way to keep them out of your system (notice to all non-secretors!)

It is so pleasant to explore nature & oneself at the same time, doing violence neither to her nor to one's own spirit, but bringing both into balance in gentle, mutual interaction.

Quoted from lola
has anyone heard of sage powder to whiten teeth?
it is supposed to be very effective......must have a certain component, who knows?

I don't know which component it is, but through ages sage is used as tooth whitener, cleaner and desinfectant. It can be fresh leaves directly rubbed on the teeth or in the form of the powder.

I use 3 times a week home made powder of golden seal, thyme, sage and peppermint with baking soda and sea salt. Keep it in the glass jar. Good for any problem in the mouth.

I am in love with my Sonicare... gives the 2 min brushing time and the toothbrush is not to rough on the gums.

I use a tongue scraper, floss, use Plax and brush.  I recently switch my tooth paste and the one I use has Q10 in it.  Kiss my face.  What a great perk.

The tongue scraper and my toothbrush really helped with my bad breath.. and I am always getting positive complements on my white teeth.
