I saw a program on public television...I think the guy's name was Mark Hyman? "Nutrigenomics"...a number of alternative nutrition programs on that channel lately during a fund drive. Anyone familiar with this? Also, maybe by a different MD a book with the word metabolism in the title? One of these Drs. was talking about "personalizing" medicine, the way we talk here about Individuality...  |

Hyman has a book called Ultrametabolism. It pulls together a bunch of not exactly mainstream ideas about nutrition (like alkalizing, detoxing and I can't think what else right now) to help boost the metabolism. A friend swears by him. Interesting for an M.D. to support such things. |
