My granddaughter's best friend was diagnosed within the past day or so with leukemia, AML, and apparently it is very bad. They are saying she has no red blood cells at this point and are starting her on chemo tomorrow. She is in the Seattle Children's Hospital.
Do you have any suggestions that my daughter can pass on to her mother that might be helpful. Right now they say she has about a 40% chance of survival but that further tests might bring that number down. This little girl is 12 years old.
Personally, I think that chemo is about the worst thing that can be done to a person. I think her mother is receptive to the addition of alternatives but don't know what the doctors' there would have to say about anything that might be healthful.
If nothing else, please say a prayer for Ericka. Thank you. |

Thanks lola. My smoothie recipe has already been sent to her and I read that report on the oil pulling where it does mention leukemia as one of the things it helps. I will check out the other things you mention and copy them out for her. Thanks for your help. |

Dr. D's book on Cancer is a real treasure. If they know her blood type and can follow it with her, it will help her very much. This is the bottom line for healing, and everything else will be bonuses.
I really love the mushrooms in fighting cancers: reishi, shitake and maitake, also the herbs astragalus and cordyceps. These have all been a part of my arsenal since I had chemo 4 1/2 years ago. They are helping me regain my health after the treatment was successfully finished. |

Hi Sharon, childhood leukemia seems unlike most other forms of cancer and is most-often fatal. My suggestions are not to be understood as stand-alone but in consort with other alternate methods as above. First off: a good dose of EFA's ... especially omega-3's (if she's an O) + MSM + vitamin C (very high dose - even by transfusion if possible) + oxygen by endogenous breathing (Frolov) at http://www.aviva.ca/shop/products.asp?itemid=2966&catid=64 ..... is the preferred route but hyperbaric oxygen may also help) + rest on a magnetic mattress http://www.magneticosleep.com/hope these help John PS ... the most radical radiation treatment (where ALL her bone-marrow cells are killed), then a transfusion with a matching donor's bone-marrow cells does work .... it's a hard go to find a matching donor, though.) PPS ... I do not know how effective this would be, but she might try some phytoplankton at http://www.marinecure.com or http://www.umac-core.com |

http://www.naturmednet.de is one of the possibilities; next: sorry I don't want to do any harm or whatsoever, but this girl is about 12 years old; if I'd understood it correctly. So we do have here a chance in creating a kind of fever, to get burst all cancercells immediately; the only dangerous point here is, that must be done under controle of med.'s and also at the right time stopped; dangerous because it needs a real & right point of intervention to get stopped this fever. It seems that this might be one of the most efficient and quickest respone to such harmfull maladies. If I remember well there are several special hospitals who are practising such therapies, if I remember well, even the named above is doing it; but I am not sure to 100%. hope that helps, too incl. the other niceley given advices |

I will copy the comments here so they will be delivered to the mother. As of now they are planning on getting her into an experimental group.
It was very discouraging to me to find out that whatever foods she is able to eat must first be pasteurized or p[ut through a machine that will kill any living organism. Okay, so they are going to fill her body with poisons and not let any healthful foods get near her. I have a hard time with that concept.
Anyway, it is so good to hear from people who want to be helpful from a healthful perspective. Thanks again. |

northernstar, I do 10000% understand your thoughts and feelings, the same for me, but that shows up, that indirectly they did choose their way;...we can't interact anymore.... hey yesterday I saw a film about *natural healers* of all countries of this world; amazing ther's one man who seems to be able (Russia) to heal instantly with his thoughts, then one man in India or hmmm yech forgot it perhap Burma(I think it was Miranmar lately named Burma) who heals within 3 months HIV persons, all kind of cancer etc..so called incurable sickness with a mix between different metals and then he adds some herbs; he got this recipe from *the devine* even hospitals are working with his stuff with highest success!! That shows up for me, that western *thinking* is not everytime the *golden * way..huh |

I have been thinking about surrogate EFT tapping for her. I know that it often does work very well in some instances. Anyway, that is something similar (I think) to what you mentioned.
You are so right about your comment about Western medicine. There is much to be said of the invisibile part of man and the power that is there. Thanks. |

A couple of choices that could be started right away are The Budwig Diet (cottage cheese and Flaxseed oil) and Essiac. If things are pretty far along, don't discount chemo and radiation. My son had leukemia as a teenager. He was at Loma Linda and participated in a study with UCLA. He was the only survivor of the children there at the time. He is now 27. Good luck.

Lola, My son doesn't follow BTD, but he has been complaining about his junk food based life -- so, he may be open to suggestions.

Linseed = Flaxseed
They are different words for the same thing. |

My heart goes out to the parents of this child. I had a little boy who died with leukemia at the age of 5. When he was diagnosed, they said that he would live 3 to 5 months, but he lived 2 years which meant that every day you were hoping that they were wrong. It is a heavy burden to bear.
I sincerely hope that some of the suggestions made on the forum can be used. Isa..the doctor who specialized in leukemia had studied in Switzerland and was so wonderful to my son. You are ahead of us is the USA. namaste ruthie |

So sorry to hear about your friend. Are they looking for marrow donors? Do you have any idea how that works? I live in Seattle, which is partly why my interest is piqued. I am on the national marrow donors list, but only my blood has been tested. I don't know what kind of match otherwise I would be. |
