Quoted from relasphere
a friend of mine had recurring infections--almost once a month for several months. Basically, her naturopath said that the latex condom she was using with her partner was coated with a water-based lubricant. She also said that water-based lubricants are usually glycerin-based (sugar!)

relasphere, wishing you a warm welcome to BTD and the forum. Great first post BTW!!!
I can attest to the fact that sugar will cause discharge. Whether specifically creating infection, not sure there. After I had my TOTAL hysterectomy (as in there was nothing left for anything to be discharging from (gosh I hope the guys aren't reading this thread )), I found I was getting discharge from time to time.   me out a bit at first, then I pinned it down to sugar. Wouldn't doubt it a bit if it's the culprit in female infections. I have a sneaking suspicion it is also the cause of Herpes virus outbreaks once one has the virus.

what I observed also was and still is, and I am not happy with such a solution, mostly of those so called  *depends* are made with a certaine couche of latex or better said, they are mostly all plastifyd.....so no air might pass .... and here it becomes a bit more than humid and warm, what a fine environement for all kinds of bacterias and fungii.... for an fine overgrowth

Welcome, relasphere, and thanks for the lube tip - um, that didn't sound right, but hey you know what I meant!
Hey, relasphere, put your blood type in your shield, unless you don't know it yet...
I read Dr. Sammy's write-up on the garlic, tried it (paying careful attention to how much for the circumstances), and I believe it worked for me, and quickly, for yeast. BTD has changed all that for me, better diet = better body everywhere.
Istreat, I believe Dr. Samm's instructions were something along the lines of less piercings into the unpeeled clove for a lesser infection, more piercings for a worse infection. Just remember not in the daytime, because the garlic will "show" on your breath.

Hello everyone, Thanks for the warm welcome and tips. I added my avatar, but I don't know what my secretor status is. I was going to order the kit, and then found out that NY doesn't allow saliva across states (or something like that). I will have to call and figure out what my other option is. Hmmm...
